When Mother’s Day comes around, it’s no secret that I don’t have a mother that I celebrate the day with. I am not a mother and do not feel the need to contact my estranged family, but that doesn’t mean that I do not recognize the meaning of the day or think that mothers who have done an amazing job of caring for their children should be celebrated.
