2020 is nearly over, and as I have done a goals list last year, I felt like maybe I should do one this year! Looking back to January, I had no idea that there was going to be a global pandemic, and that really threw most of my life in a bit of a twist – much like I am sure it did for everyone. Regardless of that, the majority of my goals were actually achieved. I was able to get a new car, we are well on the way to moving to our new house, I did record more video games for Youtube and I was able to do some virtual volunteering and donating of my time. The only thing I don’t feel I achieved was getting a new tattoo – but I didn’t really feel comfortable getting a tattoo during a global pandemic!

A Day Out at Glow Wild Wakehurst 2020
Each year, we make an effort to go to at least one lantern or light themed event. They pop up around the wintertime, showcasing the best versions of lights! This year, things were a little different, but we did end up finding a light event in our tier, with plenty of precautions, that we could go to! That event, as you probably have guessed, is Glow Wild at Wakehurst.
Upon entering Wakehurst, we followed the signs to the start of the walk. There were plenty of staff dotting around reminding people to wear masks, socially distance, and keep moving throughout the walk. Even though Glow Wild is an outdoor event, it’s one that does require masks, which is always nice. At the main start of the walk, there are a few little treat stalls – selling muffins, coffees, and hot chocolates. We didn’t purchase anything here, but joined the line to start the walk! After picking out a lantern to carry with us, we started along the trail.

Fruity Mince Pies | Recipe
As an American living in England, I had never previously had or heard of Mince Pies. Despite beef being called ‘mince’ when it’s ground in the UK, Mince Pies do not contain any meat anymore and actually are a really lovely, sweet treat that’s super popular around the wintertime! Mince pies can be found in loads of stores – we have a ranking list of our favorites – but this year we decided to do some experimenting and try out own! We ended up loving a super fruity mince pie that we had made, and it was so easy and fun to do!
The Grinch Dr. Seuss Bath Snow | Review
Every year in England, I hope for snow and I do not get snow. Last year, we got some Zimpli Kids Snoballs to try out, but this year we had our eyes peeled for more snow-replacements to test. While picking up some stuff at The Range, I came across the Grinch Bath Snow, which seemed like a cool thing to try out! I can’t seem to find it anywhere online, so I am so glad we grabbed a bottle. As you probably have guessed if you spend time on this blog, we do a lot of bath bombs in our baths, as well as bath slimes, soaps and anything else that is bath related! It’s always a fun time.
Webbox Festive Cat Treats | Review
After our huge batch of Webbox Treats that we reviewed earlier in the year, there was no way we weren’t going to pick up the seasonal Webbox treats that are around duringt his holiday season! Though Webbox have a few festive treats for cats and dogs, I could only find two of the treats in our local shops. We ended up wit the stick treats and the Lick-e-lix, both in seasonal flavors and perfect for the furbaby in your life that would probably like to have a new treat for this. Next year, we will be on the hunt for their Festive Mousse and Festive tin meal for Pancake to try!
