Exploring the Coventry Christmas Market

It’s officially the time of Christmas Markets in England! Dann and I had already ventured to one of the ones in London, which was very crowded and very much like a London Christmas Market. With that in mind, we wanted to take our children to one, so we picked the Coventry Christmas Market which felt like it had more room! This market had just opened the day before, so we were excited to see what it is like as none of us had been.

Watching Cinderella at The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch

[Ad- gifted experience] It’s Christmas time, which in England means there are tons of pantos. Last year, I went to my first ever panto and had a wonderful time. Cinderella had a lot of the same actors from the previous panto I saw at The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, so I was well excited to see it. Cinderella is a classic story, but like most plays, this one felt unique and with a twist.

Crystal Art Buddies Festive Series 4 Decoration – Crafting an Ornament

[Ad- gifted product] We are fans of the Crystal Art kits, especially after doing a bunch of the D100 Crystal Art Sticker Album. This sort of mindfulness activity really encourages slowing down. It’s like paint by numbers, but instead of messy paint and trying to get it in exactly the right spot, you are putting down a bunch of fun looking gems. The new Crystal Art Buddies Festive Series 4 Decorations are both a decoration you can hang on your tree or a buddie that you can stand up, acting as a shelf decoration. Amelia took the time to do the Reindeer, which is new for 2024.

Force Drone – Fun to Bop Around

[Ad- gifted product] I feel like home drones have come so far from when I was a child! I remember watching my drone fly high away from me, crash, and then never fly again. The Force Drone feels completely different. It’s a fun, easy to use drone for indoor and outdoor play. Robin has played with a few different drones in her time as they always are good toys for a rainy day. This drone looks like a serious one; black with a green light and a lot of caging, which doesn’t look like it can hurt you.

Exploring Blackpool Illuminations

While traveling up to Scotland, we decided to stop off and check out the Blackpool Illuniations. I have never been to these illuminations, though we visit a large number of light trails all throughout England, so I was pretty pumped to check them out. Dann had been many years ago, when he was a child, but he didn’t remember it particularly well.

The Blackpool Illuminations are free to see as they are just dotted around the main bit of Blackpool. There isn’t a sort of check in or ticket system and you can often find a lot of cars slowly driving down the road looking at all of the lights out there. We got there just before the lights were switched on and weren’t really sure where to start, so we walked to the big Blackpool sign, which had a long queue waiting. We decided not to wait for a picture and instead started on the walk.
