[Ad- collab] One of the best parts of having a hobby is being able to share that hobby with other people. It’s even more fun when that other person is your child, who you can spend a lot of time with doing your hobby and who you can support enjoying your hobby! Having a hobby in common with your child can really help strengthen your bond with them and give you a way to connect with them, especially as they become tweens and teens. One of my main hobbies is Pokemon – I love playing Pokemon Go, I love collecting Pokemon cards, I enjoy the TV series, movies, and generally being apart of the Pokemon fan club. So, naturally, I wanted to ensure that we had a good go at getting our children interested in Pokemon themselves!

Trying Michelin Star Award Winning Pasta at Bancone
[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I went with our friends Ryan and Tom to try some pasta dishes at Bancone! Bancone is a fancy feeling, yet quite affordable, award winning pasta restaurant that has a small menu of starters, mains and a few deserts to choose from, as well as a wine and cocktail menu. The place itself had a bit of a strange vibe. The outside, featuring a big white fabric awning didn’t seem to match the interior and felt a little dated. Inside, the place was very well decorated, but the music didn’t really match the feeling that you’d get when being at such a fancy place. A Day Out at Happy Birthday Sunita at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch
[Ad- gifted experience] We have visited the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch several times as it’s one of our favorites! The venue has a lovely cafe and a bar, as well as a stage for taking pictures and a little reading library at the back. It’s a lovely theatre that we are always excited to return too. This time, we went to see Happy Birthday Sunita – a play about an indian family, their dynamics, and Sunita turning 30 years old.

Exploring Ebbor Gorge National Nature Reserve
While on our adventure to Wookey Hole, we did have a full day of just visiting the local area. As the weather was so wonderful and nature so plentiful in that area, we decided to go to Ebbor Gorge National Nature Reserve and have a big walk about. Dann and I decided to do this as a photography walk, as we had been taking so many photos of the new places all day, and figured that brought more adventure and slowed down the walk – which was already quite long – so smaller feet (Robin’s specifically) could keep up.

FlipSlide is a new type of Bop-It
[Ad- gifted product] When I was a kid, I had a Bop-it that I carried around with me, whenever I went somewhere that I might need a bit of entertainment. We have had Bop-It’s at home, and our girls have really enjoyed the little hand-held gaming experience. When we heard about FliplSide, which is way less of an awkward shape, and sort of reminds me of Simon Says.
