The Best Easter Basket Stuffers

*AD – some items in this article were gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own. This post was updated on March 20th, 2024 to add more items.

Easter is just around the corner and one of the big parts of Easter is creating an Easter basket. There are so many different things out there to fill your Easter basket with, we have compiled the best of the best, to make your Easter baskets magical! These are the items we are putting in our children’s Easter baskets – something that we really enjoy setting up the night before Easter.

Cadbury Family Easter Selection

Chocolate is a classic, almost an expectation at Easter time! The Cadbury Family Easter Selection honestly has all of the chocolate you could possibly want – or need – for your entire family to fill their baskets. This gift box has such a wide variety including a bunch of different creme eggs, mini-eggs in egg and bar form, a giant set of chocolate eggs to hide, and a few bags of filled eggs, as well as a full egg for the center of the basket. If you are looking to give one person a very chocolate basket or if you have a family of chocolate lovers, this has everything you’d really want.

Lego Easter Kit

One of the first things we always get for our Easter Baskets is something big to fill the middle. This often is a Lego kit. Lego has a bunch of different Easter themed kits, some of which the kids have had before, so we went with two Easter kits and one animal kit, as Easter does have a lot of different springtime creatures as apart of it. The Lego Kit is a really fun activity that all three of them normally do on Easter day, after opening their baskets, and is a great distraction from wanting to eat all of the candy there.

Chocolate Lolly Maker

A bit of a bigger gift for your Easter Basket; the Chocolate Lolly Maker is a great choice! This kit gives you everything you need to create your own chocolate treats. I am sure that you will have tons and tons of extra chocolate after Easter, which is perfect for this kit, as it turns the chocolate into an entire activity which will keep the children busy creating and – if they are like ours – even opening up a little chocolate shop with their creations!

Haribo Eggs Galore

Speaking of candy, this year we got a big bag of Haribo Eggs Galore, which has about 30 mini bags in it. We often put some of whatever we are hiding in eggs around the house, in the Easter Basket so that each of the children do start with some of the Easter Egg candy, just in case they do not find that egg. The Haribo Eggs Galore has a bunch of different egg-themed mini-egg packets, which aren’t just friend eggs either. It’s a great item to get to fill up eggs and add a few to your basket.

Plus Plus

Plus Plus are sort of like more freeform building blocks, which allow children to create 3D characters and creatures, by connecting them together. They come in tubes which have a different designed character on the outside, which you can focus on building or use to get the color scheme you’d best like to play with! They do have some Easter specific tubes like this chick or a bunny and this does add a good amount of height to your basket too; they are super easy to tuck into the back.

Fidget Flower Bracelets

Amelia specifically is in love with fidgets. She has a massive collection that she is always adding too, so we figured we’d pick out a pop-it themed fidget for their Easter baskets. This flower fidget bracelet set, especially with the purple color, is perfect for Easter Baskets! The bracelet itself is really well made, the flower spins, and the pops are very fun to pop! It makes for a good spring item that I am sure will get a lot of use.

Play in Choc Rabbits

Play in Choc is a great little Easter Egg hunt option and is something we have previously received at Easter Egg hunts! The Rabbit series contains 6 boxes of surprise rabbits along with two pieces of chocolate in each box. These rabbits are little wooden puzzles that your child can build along with a fact sheet about the rabbit that is in the box! The box itself is small and easy to hide, doesn’t need to be placed into a plastic egg, and can cut down on your waste this holiday.

Peeps Stick

As an American, I am here to tell you that Peeps are needed for Easter. They are little marshmallows, covered in sugar, often flavored. They are delicious and fit perfectly into Easter time! These sets of four are on a stick, great for kids to eat and for building height in your basket. They are Froot Loop flavored and just really vibrant and fun. If you’ve never had them before, you should really try them – and they do come in packs of four.

BloPens Fantasy Set

Another bigger gift for your child’s Easter Basket can be a set of BloPens. The Fantasy Set has some bright and vibrant colors, along with a bunch of fantasy stencils so that your child can create unicorns! This activity is one they can do any time of the year and is a different bit of crafting then drawing and painting. Ours really love how easy it is to use BloPens and enjoy getting these kits as a bigger activity for any holiday!

Art and Joy: Best Friends Forever

Art and Joy: Best Friends Forever is an adorable book about two characters; Art and Joy. Art and Joy create things out of nothing, creating art that is magical and whimsical. That is, until Art hears a bully who says their art is wrong and weird. This makes Art rethink their ideas and what they are doing, filling them with worry. Joy continues making things but Art struggles, until Art goes back outside and sees the world again, deciding to no longer hear the bully and instead create things! It’s very cute and relatable and has crafts at the end.

Easter Slime

We couldn’t do Easter without some slimes. Lots of Etsy sellers sell different themed slimes for Easter. We got a pink slime that has a bunny charm, an orange slime that has lots of different carrot and bunny sprinkles, and a white slime with lots of different colored bubbles in it and a chick charm. Along with these, we got a few smaller, mystery slimes in the box which I decorated with Easter stickers and popped into their baskets. UnicoSlimery does the best slimes I’ve seen on Etsy, and is just great to work with.

Easter Bunny Letters

Easter Bunny Letters aren’t exactly basket stuffers, but do make for a fun time at Easter. This 7 Letter bundle works sot of like an Easter Egg hunt, and we are putting our first letter by their baskets. These letters are personalizable, and allow children to read all about the ongoing of Easter – the way the Easter Bunny makes chocolate and much more about the bunny’s life. You can then hide the other letters around the house, as scrolls, encouraging children to run around and find them! It’s a really lovely idea – and this company changes the letters up each year, as well as offers a single letter from the Easter bunny, if you want the creature to write to your child.

Your Easter basket idea is fantastic! Although we haven’t planned to make one this year, we found some Easter-themed Lego sets that are just amazing! They’re so well-packaged and presented that I’m sure kids will be overjoyed to receive them. Heck, even I would be thrilled to get my hands on one! Thanks for the great suggestion!
