Crafting with Big Colour Co Paints and Eco-Glitter

Big Colour Co

*AD – the items in this review were gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

Robin and Amelia are very big into craft projects, and just love painting! Painting is often a project that does take some time to set up, as paint itself can be quite messy. When you add glitter into the mix, there will always be a bit of a mess, but the girls really do enjoy making it! As it is Children’s Art Week, our household is spending a bit of extra time crafting. Their art projects today featured tons of Big Colour Co Paints and a few different Eco-Glitters.

Big Colour Co Paints

When it comes to the paints, Big Colour Co has ready to use paints, that are pre-mixed. Their range goes from common colours to neon to metallic. The metallic is shimmery when it dries, and the neon really does keep it’s brightness. Lavender was my favourite shade personally, but the girls loved the amount of blues there are! With so many different options, Robin ended up layering many, many layers of paint over itself, basically soaking the page. She was just very excited about being able to use all the colours at once. Amelia on the other hand focused on colours she needed for her final picture; a field with a butterfly and a cloud. Robin also made an outdoor image with the colours too. This paint cleaned easily off of our table and the coverage was very good. The paint itself feels thick, not thin at all.

Eco-Glitter

When it comes to glitter, I found it previously very hard to purchase glitter that didn’t harm the environment. Because of this, we stayed away from glitter and focused on other aspects of crafting. With Big Colour Co Eco-Glitter, there is no longer this guilt. This glitter is made from plant mater and can break down naturally in the environment. This glitter still sparkles and shimmers, and comes in a variety of different colours, making it great for crafting! The girls enjoyed using the glitter to highlight their clouds or sky, and Amelia put some on her butterfly as well, so it would sparkle too. Having a glitter option that is eco-friendly is a really great thing to have!

Big Colour Co does so many high quality art supplies, which are great to reach for within our craft desks! Having eco friendly glitter and some lovely paint colours does allow a variety of crafting too!
