Birthday Freebies in the United Kingdom

It was my birthday in February! And, this year, I wanted to see how many birthday freebies I could possibly get. Previously, living in America, I was very aware of all of the different birthday freebies you could get, from basically any brand. I spent some time looking up and adding myself to different apps to see what birthday freebies I could get before the end of my birthday month, all signing up at the end of the month before.

Classic Krispy Kreme Donut

Using the Krispy Kreme app, without spending any money, you can get a free original glazed donut! This is a little bit tricky if you do not live near a dedicated Krispy Kreme donut shop, but they do have options to email a coupon for a free donut from Tesco. Even when you get this coupon, it still is limited to what Tesco stores take them, down to the store managers themselves. We have three Tesco stores in our town, and one of them did accept these, but it’s worth checking before you take a donut out of the stand!

Costa Free Birthday Treat

Using the Costa rewards app, without spending any money, you can get a free birthday treat around your birthday. This treat is a bakery item and you can choose any item from inside their display case. I went with a £7 cake, which was orange and raspberry – it was very delicious! There is no purchase necessary, which is also fantastic for a free thing.

Nintendo E-Shop Points

If you have a Nintendo Account, you can get 300 reward points for your birthday. Reward points aren’t something you can purchase, but you can spend them on exclusive items that relate to a variety of Nintendo games: pop sockets, stickers, notebooks, etc. I saved my 300 points to go towards some Pokemon Pokopia merch, as I assume they are adding some!

Cineworld Free Regular Popcorn

If you are a Cineworld Unlimited Member (you can use my code RAF25PW42TX95MM24BA if you are looking to create an account), you will get a free regular popcorn of your choice on your birthday or the few days afterwards. You do need to be a member for at least a month, but it’s a lovely little treat!

Starbucks Birthday Drink

If you regularly drink Starbucks and use their reward programme, you might have spent enough to qualify for the free Birthday drink. This requires you to be a Gold member, which means earning 2,500 points in a year. As a gold member, I got any of the drinks I wanted, any size, for around my birthday! It’s good if you have

Taco Bell Free Cinnamon Twists

If you download the Taco Bell app, even if you haven’t purchased anything using the app, you can get a cinnamon twist! This doesn’t require any purchasing to redeem. I absolutely love their cinnamon twists and wish I could purchase them at our local shop, as a snack!

Las Iguana’s Main

The Las Iguanas reward does come with a few little things, but is the biggest reward you can get on this list! If you sign up for their rewards programme, you can get a free main! You do not need to have used the app previously, but you do need to purchase another adult main to activate your free main. This means you might need to do a lunch or dinner with a friend to use the reward.

Wagamama Free Birthday Gyoza

If you are a member of the Soul Club rewards programme for Wagamama, you can get a free order of Gyoza for your birthday! You do not need to have spent money on the app or to order anything else to redeem this – which is a nice little side, thought it does feel like you shouldn’t be going in and ordering just a side. They do have a few different gyoza options, so there is some choice there too.
