Trying New Toys at BlogOn Family Fun Fest

As a blogger, who has children that love toys, we always try to get along to BlogOn and whatever event they are running each year. Last year, BlogOn Kids showed a lot of fun new toys, with their signature Toys Awards – but this year they turned their event into BlogOn Family Fun Fest! The aim of this event is to have children and families connect with various brands that are looking for influencers.

BlogOn Family Fun Fest is split into different rooms, with tons of different hands-on activities that allow content to be created right at the venue. They have a large range of toys and PR people, allowing for families to see if specific toys interest them and brands to see how various influencers react to their products. Kai wasn’t very interested this year (though did spend some time checking out some of the retro-inspired video game toys), but Amelia and Robin were well excited to test out every single toy they could get their hands on.

For me, BlogOn Family Fun Fest was a bit of a chaotic, multifaceted event with a lot going on. We are all looking to test out as many cool toys as we can, while also hoping to meet new brands to work with for the next year and create some content of the event itself. This many things, with the addition of children to look after, does become a bit of a hectic time.

With that said, one of our favorite rooms was the Kreepy Collectable room, and that’s not just because we have worked with them before; they had tons of new products and lines out, lots of blind bags we haven’t seen before, and were even demo-ing their new Roblox game! We ended up grounding ourselves with a few familiar people and toys, before making our ways to new stuff, that we hadn’t seen before.

One of the very best things about BlogOn Family Fun Fest is the samples. If you make a good impression with the various PR and your content aligns with what they are looking for, they often have samples right then and there that you can take home for reviews further down the line. BlogOn events are also well known for their goodie bags, which contain a ton of different samples and bits to review – which we picked up at the end of our visit and put directly in the car, after grabbing a few smalls for the kids to play with! Onwards to next year, to check out more toys.

Now I have my own kid Blogon is something I’ll need to look into, although only when she’s a little bit older. Sounds like a fun (albeit it chaotic) event when you’ve got to keep your eyes on the kids too x
