Spice up the holiday season: Bloody Merry

It’s no secret that this time of the year is the busiest time for entertaining and holiday parties and what is a holiday season gathering without cocktails! After the year we’ve had, we need time together more than ever, and it’s time to indulge. Impress your guests with this tasty cocktail that will make it seem like your lockdown was spent perfecting your bartending skills. A bloody mary is a classic cocktail but Frank’s RedHot® adds an element of excitement that will have everyone reaching for more. Not only is its deep red colour suited to the holiday theme but it’s full of flavour and has a kick, a great accompaniment for all of your festive dishes.

Ingredients:

  • 100ml vodka
  • 500ml tomato juice
  • Frank’s RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Lemon Juice
  • Celery salt
  • Black pepper
  • Chili flakes
  • Celery sticks, to serve
  • Large handful of ice

Method:

Add ice to your glasses or to a pitcher jug. I also sometimes like to shake this cocktail to make sure the salt and pepper mix in well, so alternatively you could add to a shaker. Then add the vodka, tomato juice and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Add in a pinch of celery salt, pepper and some chilli flakes, as well as a few dashes of Frank’s RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (or more if you like it spicy!) Stir or shake until the ingredients are combined, and then pour into your glasses.

You can garnish this however you like, so feel free to get creative with decorating the glass and adding some of your favourite Bloody Mary garnishes! Top up with more ice if required and enjoy.

I have to say that I have never tried Bloody Mary. This version of Bloody Merry sounds like a perfect addition to the holiday celebrations.
