[Ad- PR Experience] Christmas is such a magical time of year and one that involves a lot of shopping. With that in mind, the British Garden Centre ran a press night to show off all of the new products and lines that they will be stocking all around the United Kingdom. We got to visit the Braintree centre for their Christmas event, seeing all of the items that they have to offer.
The British Garden Centre have a mix of decorations, gifts and stocking stuffers that can basically help you shop for anything! After having a drink and some nibbles in their outdoor seating area, where you could stop and have a meal if you wanted to make a whole day out of shopping. Their menu did look like it contained a lot of British staples, which is always a good sign.
When it comes to the outdoor decorations, which is what we looked at first, there are plenty of lights and outdoor infinity decorations. These infinity decorations seem to be the big trend this year, as they light up and the inside of them seem to go on forever. They do a good job of really lighting up and looking fantastic. Along with these outdoor decorations, there are tons and tons of indoor decorations set up in different themed stands, based on color and general vibe. There is also a huge stand of all of those little scenes, you know the ones, that have little model houses or towns with people do Christmas activities. I really do love seeing this all out, especially as I never will have enough room to make a whole area for them in my house.
In the various themed areas, there were classic ones like white and blue, along with some that were a bit more whimsical and fantastic. I specifically liked the rainbow themed area that had lots of pastel Santas and rainbow nutcrackers. There was also a giant animatronic unicorn in the ballet and unicorn vibed area of the place, which really surprised me! There are so many interesting decorations. We ended up getting some mushrooms that you can clip to your tree, which really match a lot of the clip on birds we have (which they had a big selection of as well). There really is something for everyone when it comes to Christmas decorations at British Garden Centre.
Apart from the decorations, there are lots of stocking stuffers in the form of candies and little toys. They have a giant area of JellyCats that are all holiday themed, along with lots of lovely gingerbread kits. There is a huge toy area at the British Garden Centre in Braintree, which had tons of different toys from CareBears to classic Christmas puzzles. It’s really amazing. There were tablescapes set up, if you need some inspiration when it comes to hosting, and an impressive collection of gift baskets and jams, which I really enjoyed. We got to sample some of the jams and chutneys, coming home with a few of them.
Whether you are looking to spruce up your Christmas decorations, create the ultimate Christmas dinner or just do a bit of gift shopping, there is tons on offer at British Garden Centre, so they are well worth a look.
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!

I really need to head to a garden centre for Christmas decorations and gifts as they always seem to be a few steps ahead of anywhere. I’ll need to see how close this location is to me x
