Picking Pumpkins at Cammas Hall 2025

[Ad- gifted experience] Cammas Hall is always putting on fun events throughout the year. From their Pick Your Own Strawberries to their Easter Trails, to their Bonfire Nights – there’s just always something fun going on. We’ve been to Cammas Hall for their Pumpkin Picking event for the last few years and love to see what new things they do and how it grows! This year, we were truly delighted to be invited along to be special guest!

Cammas Hall’s Spooky Walk

To enter Cammas Hall this year, they had the start of their spooky walk. The real good thing about this specific spooky walk is that it’s not that spooky unless you choose to go down another, spookier side. The first bit of the spooky walk, which had an actor dressed as a pumpkin and someone dressed as Coraline when we went, has a few spooky set-ups with animatronic spooky decorations that move and react when people walk near them. They had a small set from Beetle Juice, with very interesting decorations, that you could stand and pose in. We then went into Wednesday Addam’s room, where she was lurking around a corner and did a brisk walk towards us, making me jump. She interacted, in character, and liked Robin’s siracha costume, which was lovely. These sorts of iconic, spooky sets make for a good little walk! There was also a big open area, to the back, that had a skeleton being jumped by a car battery in a car – great use of lights. Then, there is the option to enter the pumpkin patch OR go the spookier route.

This spookier walk starts off with a lot of neon painted walls, then goes into their more intense animatronics, primarily of clowns and little doll creatures. These are set up around you, in a creepy manor. There are more of the rooms to pose in, but these have electric chairs that light up, insane looking psych patients trapped in rooms, and a ton of spider webs. There was this VERY COOL hallway that has clouds lit up overhead, like a storm! All of us went into the spookier route and really enjoyed it – but it’s great to have the option to not go, for those who wouldn’t want the extra bit of scare.

Cammas Hall Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch at Cammas Hall isn’t the kind that’s on a big field of dirt. Instead, the pumpkins are beautifully organised by color into a bunch of different squares. The variety is one of the reasons we always go to Cammas Hall. They have deep red pumpkins, perfect orange pumkins, pale white pumpkins, grey-blue pumpkins… this year they even had a more tan looking pumpkins and a bunch of pumpkins that looked almost tye-dye! There are just tons and tons, and it’s great seeing that variety. They also have a bunch of different gourds and squashes, in various bins around the edges, which are perfect for filler. Kai brought the wagon around for everyone as we got all of our pumpkins picked out. In the pumpkin area there are also a bunch of photo points like the giant Pumpkin Volcano, which smoked and lit on fire from the top every hour. There’s also a giant pumpkin art wall, a 365 photo area (which is cash only, and an additional charge) and little games like a pull-back target game. In this area there is also a small bar with hot drinks and some alcohol as well. We had the themed hot chocolate which was a treat!

Inside the Barn

To pay for your pumpkins, you will enter half of the barn. This area has a lot of different Halloween themed items, which you can purchase at the tills. We ended up getting a knife headband, that Robin thought was very silly, that makes it like you have a knife through your head. If you exit the barn, which we do to place the pumpkins into our car, you can then re-enter through the other side, which has more Halloween themed items, as well as food and drink. Kai picked up his fresh apple juice, which he loves, and the rest of us headed through to the ice cream parlour. They have tons of different ice cream sundae’s, including ones with spooky toppings! Outside, there is an additional play area along with a variety of food like burgers and pizza, which we’ve had previously and very much enjoyed.

Corn Maze

Across the way, there is a massive corn maze! This maze is split into two; there is a large corn maze as well as a mini-maze that’s more aimed towards toddlers. Both of these maze have goals and a path to follow. We choose to go to the big maze, which has the theme of dinosaurs. There are tons of dinosaurs on towers and dotted around, as well as a bunch of dinosaur facts, making it educational. You will be finding boards that have different ingredients for a spell, along with equipment to make the spell. Some signs also have letters, which will complete the spell. We all liked going around and finding the different plaques, and this was a longer maze, though it is worth noting there is a lot of stinging nettles along a few of the paths so do make sure your ankles are covered! The corn at this maze wasn’t super tall, so you could find your way out easily if you needed. There is also a cheat sheet map to take a picture of at the start. At the end, we handed in our cards and got to pick from a paint a clay pumpkin kit or a bat fidget, which was very fun.

Our family really enjoys Cammas Hall, and they always seem to be adding more and more. This year, the spooky walk felt better than ever, and we really enjoyed the selection of different colored pumpkins as well. It’s just a fantastic vibe and we cannot wait to go back for their bonfire night as well.
