Why Bold Nail Colors Are Becoming the New Beauty Statement

For decades, pale pinks, nudes, and classic reds were the polish shades of choice. They symbolized elegance, subtlety, and refinement, fitting seamlessly into both boardrooms and social events. But just like fashion and makeup, nail trends have taken a noticeable turn. Today, bold nail colors are taking center stage, reshaping how people express themselves through beauty.

This shift hasn’t come out of nowhere. It’s the result of cultural changes, industry innovation, and a stronger desire for individuality. Once reserved for daring personalities, shades like electric blue, lime green, or metallic orange are now everyday choices. They’re more than polish—they’re a statement.

Lightweight Korean skincare to prep for warmer days

During colder months, it makes perfect sense to layer on richer moisturisers, balms, and occlusive creams. They help lock in moisture when central heating and cold air strip it away. But as the weather warms up, those same products can start to feel claggy, clogging your pores and sitting heavily on the skin.

That’s when you know it’s time to switch from protecting your skin from dryness to supporting it through increased oil production and environmental stress, like sweat, humidity, and UV exposure. Thick products can trap heat, disrupt your skin’s natural balance, and make existing breakouts or inflammation worse.

This is the perfect moment to turn to Korean skincare. Known for its light textures, layered hydration, and skin-soothing ingredients, it’s incredibly well-suited to warmer months. Rather than relying on one thick cream, Korean routines focus on building moisture gradually, with watery toners, gel creams, and lightweight emulsions that absorb quickly without leaving a greasy residue.

Tips to Make Hair Pomades Work All Day Long

Pomade may help you shape your hair and create a sharp look, whether your preferred style is textured, side part, or slick back. Still, occasionally the style fails throughout the day. Maybe it begins to feel greasy or flat. A few basic adjustments in your pomade application will significantly improve things. This article will share simple yet important tips to help pomades do their job from morning until night.

1. Start with Clean, Dry Hair

Always remember that oil, grime, or residual product can prevent the pomade from setting correctly, affecting style. Towel-dry your hair thoroughly after washing to provide the product a clean surface to cling to and enable longer retention of your style. Applying pomade to slightly damp hair can help your hair look shinier; avoid soaking wet strands since too much water will impair the grip.

The Best Skincare to Use While You Sleep

Skin is at once a highly resilient organ and a highly fragile one. It’s easily one of the things we take the most for granted about our bodies, even when it’s the most visible thing about our bodies. It can scream for help in so many ways, from dryness to wrinkles and far beyond – and it’s only when we tune into its language that we really figure out why we shouldn’t be so nonchalant about skincare.

After all, even the tiniest bit of active attention paid to our skin can pay off hugely, whether reintroducing a healthful glow or returning some elasticity to our tired eyelids. There are many ways to approach skincare, but for the dynamic (read: busy) amongst us, there’s a certain appeal to letting products do the heavy lifting while we sleep. So, how best to approach nighttime skincare?

Spa Night with the Deep Collagen Hydration Face Mask

[Ad- gifted products] Every other Monday night, Myself, Amelia and Robin all have a girls night. I normally do a clay face mask, but tried out the Deep Collagen Hydration Face Mask, to bring some hydration and life back into my skin in the changing seasons.
