Best Free Play Parks in Essex

When the weather is looking good, you often want to go out and enjoy it! We are a bit adventure family at the Hadley-Sullivan household, so we have gone to so many different parks, splash parks, and outdoor areas all year around, to explore what they have to offer. Since we have been to so many places over the years, we decided to put together a bunch of the best free play parks in Essex to visit with your children, to better make use of the summer holiday and sunshine! A Day Out at Shepreth Wildlife Park

In the summertime, we do enjoy going off and seeing places that have animals in them! There is so much joy that can be found in seeing animals interact with each other, be fed, and so much to learn from keepers. One of the little wildlife parks near us, that feels super understated, is Shepreth Wildlife Park. Dann and I have gone a few times as a little date night, but recently we took our kids along for the adventure! Shepreth is a really reasonably priced wildlife park with a big focus on the animals there.

A Day Out at Hobbledown Heath

Over the Easter Holiday, we wanted to make the most of the reasonable weather – so we decided to go to an outdoor adventure park! Hobbledown Heath is a new adventure park with tons of different indoor and outdoor play areas, actors pretending to be fairies and magical creatures, live animals to look at, and lots of places to explore. We went when they had a word-related scavenger hunt on as well, with letters posted up – which was very fun. It’s easily a place that you can spend an entire day out at, and we could have totally spent more time there then we did!
