A Day Out at MCM Comic Con London

[Ad- gifted experience] When it comes to days out in London, Dann and I really both enjoy gaming events. As we both work in games, we’ve been to our fair share of gaming showcases, comicons, events and the like. MCM Comic Con London aims to be a family event for all ages, full of geek culture. We were delighted at being invited back once again and took a much slower time exploring the venue. MCM Comic Con London is absolutely massive – expanding across two halls at the Excel, full of different stands, cosplay, interactive bits and so much more.

Pretty Suds Pokemon Bath Bomb Box

We have had Pretty Suds bath bomb boxes previously and they have always been a hit in our household. Pretty Suds is a UK-based small business where they hand craft each of the bath bombs, changing scents and themes often. They have a different new box featured each month, which then sticks around for a bit, before disappearing. This box was Pokemon themed. As we are all big fans of Pokemon Go and the Pokemon Series generally, we were pretty pumped to find some Pokemon bath bombs! All of these bath bombs were massive – none of them fit in our bath bomb jar – so just a bit of a warning, you could easily split them in half and use them in two baths.

Top Destinations for Students to Learn and Explore While Traveling

Studying abroad as a high-school or college student means more than snapping an arm-stretching selfie in front of an iconic landmark or seeking out the most glamorous club scene. In an increasingly interconnected world, travel can expand your horizons and help you make sense of living in the age of globalization. The most backpacker-friendly cities are often the most culturally rich and might even teach you a thing or two outside the classroom. Here are our picks for the best places to study abroad.

Berlin, Germany – Lessons in Art and History

David Bowie defined Berlin as “The greatest cultural extravaganza that one could imagine”, and he was correct. Berlin is a city with a tumultuous history where you can relive the history of the Berlin Wall, visit its famous art museums and galleries, and immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant artistic scene. Be sure to visit the East Side Gallery –  a public ‘outdoor gallery’ on the surviving segment of the Berlin Wall, painted with politically minded and motivational graffiti. Also, take a trip to Museum Island, a collection of five museums on an island in Berlin’s river Spree. These museums hold some of the world’s most valuable historical objects.

My Decision to become a Step Parent

This week marks five years of being apart of Kai, Amelia and Robin’s life, which is just absolutely wild to me! When I was younger, I always imagined my family in a very specific way – but life is normally not so cut and dry. It’s been a wild five years, filled with so many memories, so much growing up, and a lot of learning on everyone’s part.

A Day Out to The McManus – Dundee’s Art Gallery and Museum

While in Dundee, I went to The McManus – an art gallery and museum with a big focus on Dundee throughout history. There are a total of eight galleries within this museum, that explore both the history of Dundee and the art that has been created there. This museum was originally built as a memorial to Prince Albert, but over the years has been added to and changed.
