How to update your home office

When it comes to where you work, you can be uninspired if you have been working in the same, boring room for quite some time. We’ve previously talked about how to create a functional office, but today, we are going to look at updating your office and ensuring that the place you are working in is inspiration and able to help you work well when you are there! This article specifically looks at updating a home office.

Paint a feature wall

The walls of your office is one of the first things that you should start with your walls. Often, in most buildings these days, walls are painted a natural color; white, grey, light blue. These colors present a clean room or area, which is good, but not having a lot of color in your room can make it feel sterile, uninspiring, and just drab. You can make the decision to change all of the walls, or focus on a feature wall. Wallpapering or painting a feature wall, possible as a backdrop if you are often on camera for your job, is a really fun idea. A Day Out at Pember Library & Natural History Museum

I went off to visit family in Upstate New York and as a result started going out to all the little places hidden in the small, mountain-side towns nearby. One of the museums I remember going to as a very small child is the Pember Library and Natural History Museum – located right in the middle of the town my grandmother lives in. This museum is above a decent sized library, which is open, for free, to the public. The library itself is on a donation if you want basis, with a large collection of taxidermy animals, many of which you’d never see in this small town.
