Vivacats Cinema Box | Review

We’ve been pampering our little cat, Pancake, a bit more if you hadn’t noticed! He really loves all of the attention. In our hunt for new treats, new foods and interesting products, we purchased the Vivacats box, with the theme of Cinema! We do go to the cinema a lot, back when it was open, and thought it would be super funny to have a cinema-styled toy for our little furry baby. Let’s go through all of the items within the box.

Timothy Mean and the Time Machine | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Some story books have a big message, others teach simple basics like counting or eating, while Timothy Mean and the Time Machine is more of a story book that brings adventure and silliness into bedtime stories! Timothy Mean is a character who enjoys a bit of chaos, traveling through time to trick different individuals, living up to his last name. He’s the type of character you wouldn’t want your children to be friends with, but would talk about in terms of stories and chaos that he causes!

Sloppy Jane (My Drunk Kitchen) | Recipe

Another addition to our Recipe a Week project, this time with My Drunk Kitchen, a Youtube cooking show that has branched out greatly and even produced a couple of cookbooks. We had the original My Drunk Kitchen cookbook, which isn’t actually a cookbook per say. The book is more of an inspirational, cooking adjacent book about the author, Hannah Hart, and what she has learned over the years. Her Youtube videos are pretty similar to this – sort of half recipes that always end in a meaningful way, giving you something to take away from it. With that in mind, we took inspiration from her recipe, which was more like a list of ingredients, and wrote our own out of it.

Printsfield – silly personalised socks | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Last October Jupiter wrote about the pair of Printsfield socks she’d been sent — they were custom printed with the face of our cat Pancake, and they were – all around – lovely. As a matter of fact, the only complaint was that the material that they were made from at the time lost image quality due to stretching.

Printsfield reached out to let us know that they’d changed the process, moving production to the US, their custom socks were now made from – and they kindly offered to send us another pair in order to show off the new material. No complaints from us, the socks had caused plenty of entertainment (and warm toes) around the house for the family.

Pet Head Cat Dry Clean Shampoo | Review

Some pets are a bit smellier then others. I’ve not had a cat before, but Pancake, our lovely Pancake, is sometimes a stinky cat. I don’t know what makes him stinky – it seems to be his natural scent, that he carries around. He doesn’t really get this scent on other things, it can just be smelled on him, but often it’s a bit much for a cat that always wants to cuddle. As an effort to cure our noses, and because this is pretty silly, I picked up a bottle of Pet Head Cat Dry Clean Shampoo.

Pet Head has tons and tons of products for doggos but is pretty limited in it’s cat range. Despite that, I wanted to try it out anyway. This shampoo had the scent of blueberry muffins, which was even more silly, as now Pancake would be a Blueberry Pancake, so I was totally on board. Pancake really doesn’t enjoy being wet, so we figured this would be a strange adventure for everyone.
