A Day Out at Dino Kingdom Nottinghamshire

[Ad- gifted experience] From the creators of Lightopia, an event that Dann and I look forward to every single year, Dino Kingdom is an interactive dinosaur experience with a dinosaur walk, that we were all very interested in going too. Lightopia is more aimed at adults, with a lot to see and not quite a lot to do, however, Dino Kingdom is a smaller scale event, with a of interactive rooms and points for children to enjoy. We decided to go up to Nottinghamshire for the Dino Kingdom event, which was in a massive park. The car park for Dino Kingdom is a bit far away, so you will find yourself walking down a trail full of jokes and dinosaur facts, which was a nice way to lead us where we were going.

A Day Out at Capel Manor Garden Halloween Festival

We have been out to several pumpkin farms at this point, but were still looking for Halloween related events to get the kids to for the October term. Capel Manor Garden is a local, huge, historical garden that we’ve always wanted to go too, and they have a Halloween Festival, so it felt like perfect timing. Capel Manor Garden is a huge location, with over 30 gardens, a zoo, various activity buildings and so much more on offer.

Barista Box – Coffee in your Post | Review

[Ad- gifted product] I recently wrote that I’m definitely not a coffee snob, but that I’m finding myself drinking more and more of the stuff as a result of a combination of working from home and the general feeling of listlessness that lockdown has imparted on most people. Thanks to boxes like Barista Box, and a few of the other ones out there, coffee can become a bit more than a means to an end, though. Rather than hoovering up instant coffee to push back tiredness, it invites you to dabble in Americanos, Espressos, ‘Lattuccino’s, and, simply, to take a bit more care in the crafting of a cup o’ coffee.

Most people reading this are already buying coffee, although I’d imagine that the vast majority of you are still – as I was not too long ago – using instant coffee. There are reasons for this, it’s quick, it’s cheap, and over the years people have managed to get it to deliver enough flavour variety that people feel like when they’ve found one they don’t mind, they can stick with it comfortably. But, a lot of these same people are quite happy to spend £4-5 on a coffee when they’re out and about. Kits like the Barista Box can massively undercut that rate, and you also get some equipment which help you further bump up your drinks at home.

A Day Out at Cattows Halloween Farm

Though we have already taken the time to get our pumpkins and carve them up, we are still checking out Halloween activities, which include pumpkin patches. As we were traveling quite far for an event, we decided to stop off at Cattows Halloween Farm – a pumpkin patch and Halloween farm that we have never visited before. This place was big – like massive – and could have taken much more time then we actually had to spend there, which is very good to know for next year!

Chronicles of a Happy Tooth teaches children and adults about dental care!

[Ad- gifted product] Brushing your teeth is something that we all know is very important, but it is often hard to get children excited about the actual act of brushing your teeth – and it can sometimes be hard to know exactly what to do to encourage or help your child along. Chronicles of a Happy Tooth is a rhyming, story book about teeth coming in – that also includes an entire dental guide, with ages and information on exactly how to help your child on their tooth journey.
