Is long distance dating worth it?

As it’s nearly Valentines Day, everyone who isn’t currently in a relationship might be finding it particularly noticeable that they are single. More people try going on dates, others embrace being single, and some just look for companionship. When it comes to dating, there are lots of options, especially with the whole of the internet connecting the world the way it has in the last few years. Connecting people to others is a very good thing, but it can often lead to the difficulties of long distance relationships.

I’ve been in a long distance relationship before, attempting to date someone from across the ocean, in a different country. It’s a pretty hard task. There are time zone differences, you can’t ever really meet up, and there is a lot of someones life that they might not just put on the internet. This lead me to more local dating – dating someone I can physically see and hang out with because long distance dating just isn’t worth it for me. And I’d like to tell you why.

5 Cool Toys from the Toy Fair 2020

At the end of last month, I went along to the Toy Fair 2020 – I go each year, mainly to check out board games for Big Boss Battle, a site I am one of the owners of. As we’ve been reviewing toys on this blog, I figured I’d spend more time looking at the Toy aspect of the Toy Fair. Sadly, on the day we were meant to go to the Toy Fair, our car’s catalytic converter was stolen while parked in a parking lot – what a wild ride. Because of this, I ended up only having part of one day to explore the Toy Fair, but I booked a few appointments and checked out a bunch of different toys. I wanted to share with you what I found to be the coolest toys of the fair!

Pickle my Funny Bone Burger (The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book) | Recipe

Bob’s Burgers is a TV series about a struggling restaurant owner named Bob. Bob’s family consists of his wife Linda and his three children. They get into all sorts of trouble and have quite a few different, wacky adventures. It’s an adult TV show that follows a very average man in a super funny family. Oh, and his restaurant is a burger joint. Jupiter has seen Bob’s Burgers and quite enjoyed the show, while Dann had not seen it before. On the menu of Bob’s Burgers, there is always a burger of the day. Often, these burgers are not actually said out loud, made, or referred to in the show, but Cole Bowden has taken these burger ideas and made recipes for each and every one of them. Loren Bouchard helped create the book as well.

The beginning of this cookbook explains the method behind making the perfect french fries and burger, so that you have some ground work to the recipes ahead. This isn’t the majority of the book, which is mainly recipes and drawings from the show, however it is enough that you’ll have a technique down before starting to make the recipes.

Sassy Shop Wax Melts | Review

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to candles, our living rooms seems to have a mix. From the scents of peach to pumpkin apple, candles seem to be a favorite around here. I even got a candle advent calendar this year for Christmas, to try out all the different scents. When Sassy Shop Wax Melts reached out about their wax melts, I was instantly interested in getting some new scents into our living room. Wax melts actually last longer than candles, so I grabbed an electric wax melt warmer from Amazon and picked out two relaxing scents.

A Day Out at Lightopia 2020

We are big fans of light based art. Dann loves walking around, Jupiter loves looking at art, so Lightopia seemed like a great event to attend, especially after the amount of fun we had at Chihuly exhibition and the Ashford Illuminations. Lightopia takes place each year at the Chiswick House in London, as well as several other locations around England. This year, this is running from January 22nd until March 1st, giving everyone plenty of time to stop by!

We went to Lightopia with Claire (who wrote up her own review) and Staurt as a double date. We all purchased tickets a while back, and they were a bit strange to purchase. The tickets themselves have the same opening time, but you’ll end up needing to pick a preferred arrival time, which doesn’t actually get placed on your ticket. We didn’t get the email stating our preferred time, so we went at opening, which was listed on our ticket. We were still let in and nobody pointed out that we were an hour early. Anyway, onto the exhibition.

Before you even make it to ticket check, you’ll walk down a large path of flowers and numbers, making your way closer and closer to the exhibition. Once we got through tickets, we started down the path. Like the Chihuly exhibitions, lights dotted the path moving you from each major point to another. There was a lot to see, but surprisingly, there were also a lot of interactive areas designed for children and adults alike. Everything also had music, with quite a few exhibitions that actually were timed to the music that was playing. The flowers, butterflies, humans, all looked like they were made of wire and tissue paper, but clearly it was made of fabric which had lights under it. A few exhibitions stood out above the others.
