Nestlings Toy – Cute plushies that have babies | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Recently, we went off to a very special launch party for a new toy called Nestlings! As a fan of toys myself, I was super interested in what these far more adorable then Furbies would be like, especially as they reminded me of Hatchlings, a toy animal that comes in a large egg that children need to pet and play with until it hatches. I was quite disappointed with Hatchlings, if I am honest, as they take ages to hatch and that’s the main fun – there is no way to put them back in their shell, so you just then have a toy to take care of and very slowly teach.

Nestlings is far more interesting. With this toy, there are two versions; pink and teal, both soft and contain the same general look. We got two teal Nestlings to take home and play with, each with two babies inside. You see, Nestlings are creatures you need to take care of and play with, until they are happy enough to have a baby. These two babies come in one of the following colors; yellow, pink, teal or purple, so each of ours had different ones. The Nestlings have interaction points on their head and nose (basically buttons), while the color of their eyes tell you what they need. They talk back to you, but at a very good volume (as to not get very annoying to parents trying to hear literally anything else) to let you know what they need. Their heart on their belly also lights up, which is just apart of this magical creature.

Night Out at Zeus on the Loose – a Cabaret/Burlesque show

[Ad- gifted experience] Described as a ‘Subversive adult cabaret musical theater burlesque show’ Zeus on the Loose is a somewhat distant take on Greek mythology, containing all of your favorite gods; Zeus – who only really has one thing on his mind, Hades – played by the hilarious Vicky Vox, who is really just looking out for herself, Hera – who is really just quite jealous of everyone Zeus sleeps with, and a bunch of smaller characters and nymphs. Dean McCullough plays a stage master, much like in children’s pantomime, talking between segments of the show and interacting with the audience.

Brinley Williams Personalized Candles | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Candles are something I have been collecting more and more of. I quite like the look of candle light glittering and the smells that candles can bring to your home. When I found Brinley Williams Personalised Candles, I thought that was a pretty clever idea! Getting a personalized candle, to commemorate a specific event or to give a custom gift to someone is great if they do like candles like I do.

Bubble Painting | Crafts

When it comes to arts and crafts, painting is always a hit with all kids. At times, it can get sort of same-ish, so finding new ways to use up the giant bottles of paint I got off of Amazon is always welcomed. One of my favorite ways of painting combines bubbles and colorful paint into a great bubble painting project. This is something I did as a kid at school in art class, so it’s pretty cool to be showing it off.

Haycock’s No 9 Gin Cocktail | Recipe

[Ad- gifted experience] Recently, I was invited along to a master class featuring Haycock’s No 9 gin, a new ‘spiced gin’ which is quite different to any other gin that I have ever had. Described as a lemon sorbet for adults, this gin has lots of lemon and sweet notes, despite not actually having any lemon in it. I am not the biggest fan of spiced spirits, but Haycock’s No 9 doesn’t actually taste like a spiced gin and instead is just smooth and lemon-y, tasting quite like a dessert.

Dann and I went along to this master class, looking to learn all about the new Haycock’s No 9 gin and taste some of the drinks that it is used in. The creator of this gin described it as not a gin but instead something different and unique, made with coriander seeds which give off a lemon flavor without having to add any lemon. He spoke about flavored syrups and mixing drinks, after we had consumed some small appraisers which were really, really yummy. My favorite was this mac n cheese that was simply delicious, but onto the cocktails.
