Project 365 – April

As a part of Project 365, I have a photo and little diary entry from every single day of the month of April. Some bloggers are posting theirs weekly, others monthly, but all of them are a little look into every day of their lives. April, for me, saw three different countries, Easter break, lovely weather, and lots of staples like Pokemon Go and board games. It was Robin’s birthday in April as well, which is always a fun celebration. Check out the bottom of this post to see some of the other bloggers taking part in this project as well.

Cartoon Art Museum – Lots of Comics

Dann and I headed over to the Cartoon Art Museum, which is primarily focused on comics and the birth of comic books. It almost feels more like a small collection than a full museum, but they’ve got a mix of classic comics, comic notes, and featured artists who are local and new. Along with this collection, there are a few little fun facts and bits of history, so you could learn a lot there.

Air Square – Long Range Frisbee

[Ad- gifted product] We’ve tested a few different types of frisbees in our time, so we were pretty excited to see a new frisbee in time for the summer weather! We often spend time in our town centre and at the beach, so we often have a small number of toys that we carry around in the car, just in case we want to play. The Air Square is a new contender, so we took it to the town centre to see if it was really as good as the packaging said.

Lunch at Fireway Pizza in Harlow

We don’t often do lunch out, but on a particularly busy weekday, Dann and I were running errands in our local town center and decided to go for lunch at Fireway Pizza, who have a quite affordable lunch deal that essentially cuts the price of the pizzas in half, while keeping them the same shape. We both were up for pizza, so went in, as we never had actually ordered from here before.

Fireway Pizza is actually a chain that you can find around London and the few towns that are considered Greater London, though they started as one shop in 2016. Their pizzas are fired in a proper wood-fired oven, with fresh ingredients, which really makes a difference. The actual venue is very clean and well lit, with the pizzas being made right behind the glass counter, so you can see them. A lot of fast food places often feel less clean than this one, which is always a plus. Dann and I both got pizzas and a dessert.

From Assessment to Treatment: The Versatile Role of the PA

Over the past two decades, physician assistants (PAs) have emerged as a vital component of the healthcare delivery system in the United States. Originally developed to address shortages in medical care, the profession has rapidly expanded in scope and influence. PAs now work in nearly every medical specialty, from family medicine and surgery to emergency care and oncology. Their training in general medicine, coupled with their ability to work autonomously under physician supervision, has positioned them as indispensable team members in hospitals and private practices alike.

The versatility of the PA stems from their comprehensive medical education, which includes thousands of hours of clinical training. While their schooling is shorter than that of physicians, it is intense and focused, enabling them to perform many of the same functions as doctors. This includes conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. Their adaptability is especially critical in underserved areas, where healthcare professionals are scarce and patients require immediate, often complex care.
