Meeting the Highland Cows at Redburn Cafe & Gift Shop

When we were staying with Abbey Holidays at The Highland Club in Loch Ness, we really wanted to see the Highland Cows. By “we”, I do primarily mean me, I think. Growing up, I had a cow. I lived in the countryside. I really do like cows! And these long-haired cows with their horns were very new to me, so I really wanted to see one and pet one in real life. I was pretty confused that we didn’t see any driving up to Loch Ness, so when we set out to the Redburn Cafe & Gift Shop, as they have cows on their property, I was very excited.

Leveling Up Date Night with So Wood Cheese Board

[Ad- gifted products] When it comes to snacking and having lunches, Dann and I both really enjoy a snacky board. Often, we will just pull a bunch of random meats, cheeses, and fruits out of our fridge and eat them out of the various containers, instead of making proper plates of food. Sometimes, however, Dann and I like to make things a little fancy. So Wood round cheese board is the perfect way to level up your lunch and make it feel like a real date.

Garden Heist – All about what you can see

[Ad- gifted products] We play a lot of board games and often find mechanics we have previously seen, done in new ways. This week, when we went to Geek Retreat to play Garden Heist, we didn’t realize how different and unique this game would be! The setup itself already feels very different – using the bottom of the box, you basically set up a little house with a little window. Then, outside the house, there is a bunch of trees and garden items placed in a specific order. Meeples start off at the other end of the board, opposite of the house, so that you can see the garden from the house window.

Hot Pot at Happy Lamb Holborn

Dann and I don’t tend to celebrate Valentine’s Day on the day. There are always too many people out and about, and we have traditions that we do with our own children that we prioritise. However, we do take a day out of the beginning of February and go out for Hot Pot. Hot Pot is one of Dann’s favorite things to have, and it’s a food that you eat slowly, while talking and hanging out, so it’s a great way to reflect on your relationship and each other. As a bonus, it’s absolutely delicious! This year, we went to Happy Lamb in Holborn.
