Don’t Fall for It – Trivia-based Board Game

[Ad- gifted product] Every other week, we go to our local Geek Retreat to try out a new board game! This time, we played some Don’t Fall for It, which is a trivia-based board game with a large range of subjects. The age rating on this board game is ten and above, though, Robin is nine (nearly ten) so we figured we would see how it would go. The board itself was interesting; it folds out into a tower that you then can place a bunch of cardboard planks across the inside of the tower. There is a pre-made little triangle that goes in the bottom, and needs to be snug.

Beaker Creatures Skull Mountain Volcano – Mystery Monsters

[Ad- gifted product] Robin is a huge fan of small figures, creatures, and blind boxes. This made the concept of Beaker Creatures fantastic for her, especially with their Beaker Creatures Reactor Pods and their Beaker Creatures Skull Mountain Volcano. These toys are aimed at children who are interested in science and learning, which is an interesting way to build more of an understanding of science.

Eating and Listening to Music in Food Society

It may be pretty obvious, based on how often Dann and I eat out, that we absolutely love food. It may be less obvious that Dann also loves pinball machines, so when we saw a food hall that actually had a bunch of pinball machines at the back, we had to check it out. Food Society is a casual place to eat, right by where we were staying in Paris, that also had a small pinball arcade in it, along with a larger arcade / bowling venue downstairs – giving the place a fun mall vibe.

Food Society had digital menus that you could order and pay off of, which would then send the order to the various different kitchens throughout the venue. You did need to go and pick up your food, which was a bit confusing as neither of us spoke French, but we did manage to order far too much, try lots of things, and enjoy a huge lunch with some live music playing in the background!

5 Up – Travel Sized Die Rolling Game

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to summertime and holidays, having a few travel board games up your sleave can be a real saver! We went on holiday recently to Center Parcs, and brought along 5 Up, a soft, light weight, travel-sized die rolling game that could easily be spread out and played on a small table or in a car. In the evening on one of our days, we all wanted to play a game together, so 5 Up fit in well.

Taggeez Full Collection – Lots of Customization Options

[Ad – Gifted Products] Robin, who has always been a bit of a maximalist, has gotten into charms. We picked up some shoe charms from a farmers market a few months back, then got her a pair of Crocs to put them on, so when she saw that Taggeez had a full collection of stationary, accessories, and charm mystery packs, she wanted to try them out! This entire collection can be found at Tesco, where most of the items come in either bright pink or a vibrant blue. We checked out a few of these items for our Back to School Essentials.
