Every other Monday, as a part of girls night, we go to our local Geek Retreat and play a board game together as a family while enjoying milkshakes. There aren’t a lot of card games or board games that feel absolutely 100 percent unique and don’t remind us of something else. [Ad- gifted experience] Draughts is a board game bar that has a few different locations in London! Dann and I decided to invite a bunch of friends to Draughts in Hackney, where we had some food and enjoyed some board games. As you can play both longform and short board games here, they work on a sort of booking slot time, where you can pay a fee to come in and enjoy their collection of games for a set amount of hours, ordering any food and drinks you’d like to have on top of that fee.
[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to stress balls and funny stretchy toys, there are a lot out there! We’ve previously reviewed action figures that stretch and bend, but they felt very much like a Kai thing. This Stretch ‘n’ Smash Pig however is a super funny toy for all – as it’s a silly animal that everyone knows, that can stretch and pull. Robin was delighted to find the feel of this creature, though I wasn’t so sure it would be her thing at first, has become a toy she regularly is playing with.

[Ad- gifted products] I don’t know about you, but I don’t often sit down and think about the military. I guess this means, for the most part, that they’re doing their job just fine. I don’t really have a segue to link that to the coffee, beyond the fact that a couple of British chaps in the armed forces decided to dedicate time and effort into levelling up the sub-par instant coffee that they were getting while out there on operations. The result is Contact Coffee Co, who have sent us along a pouch of Shots Fired, a smooth, medium-roast coffee.

We don’t really need one every single day of December, and would very much rather have any other candy or even small items as my surprise. In America, we don’t really do advent calendars, so Jupiter didn’t really think there was a huge variety when she came to England – but it turns out there is! We have picked out our advent calendars for this year, after a bunch of research, and will be telling you about them as well as a few bonus ones that we though were so cool!
