[Ad- gifted product] When I was 13, I needed corrective glasses so that I could see things! It was something that I probably needed before I was 13, as I didn’t want to wear glasses so didn’t mention my deteriorating eye sight, but from that time I got to pick out a pair of glasses that I would be wearing, until, I suppose, they broke. I have always been a one pair of glasses person, often getting two of the same, default styles so that I have a back-up pair encase one breaks. I’ve even got sunglasses with my prescription, in the same style as my main glasses. Well, this year is ending on a year of liking fashion a little bit more than I have previously, so when I saw the glasses at Firmoo, I was pretty excited to have some pairs to pick from.

[Ad- gifted product] Every other week we find ourselves at our local Geek Retreat, playing a fun board game! This time, we took along Shadow Ninjas – which feels a fantastic fit for the Halloween season with our family. This is a fairly easy to play, four player board game where one of you plays as a guard cat while the rest of you play as shadow cats (or ninjas, in costumes, disguised as shadow cats) with the goal of getting to the koi ponds at the back of the board.

[Ad- gifted product] Wicked Uncle has so many fantastic toys that are perfect for the gift giving season! This Flying Bee toy is one that Robin has really taken too, as she loves bees, running around, and the novelty of watching it fly with her hand. This toy is basically ready out of the box, as it doesn’t need batteries and comes with a cable that you can plug into a USB to charge the bee. I do like that it doesn’t need batteries, though this is one of the older charging connections, so do bare that in mind.

Love Corn Snacks – Perfect for Packed Lunches

[Ad- gifted product] We’ve been fans of the corn snack Love Corn for quite some time now, so we were delighted when we saw that they are now doing smaller, travel-sized packs, along with a new flavor to try out! Love Corn, if you aren’t familiar, is a crunchy corn snack that are air roasted instead of fried, making it a fun, low-calorie snack. These corn snacks reminded me of beer snacks when I first had them (and since I’ve been to Spain recently, where they often have crunchy corn snacks served with beer).

Birthday Dinner at Nom Nom Restaurant

Our friend Quang had a birthday, so he invited Dann and I, along with loads of his other friends, to Nom Nom Restaurant. This is actually a place Dann and I, along with Quang and many other friends have been to many, many times, even when it previously was under another name. This is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant with a lot of authentic dishes. Vietnamese is my favorite type of food, so I am always excited to head over there.
