A Weekend away at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park

[Ad- gifted experience] All of us were invited down to Devon, to spend the weekend away at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park, in their Twitchen House section! Woolacombe Bay has a number of holiday parks in Devon, all of which are quite similar. Excited, we loaded the kids up right after school and drove to Devon. I use to actually live in the Devon area, and had never been to a holiday park, so I was really curious as to what we would be able to do in this holiday park. We were specifically in the Twitchen House area of Woolacombe Bay, though it’s really close to the other sections of the Holiday Park, and has a really similar layout to other areas too.

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch

[Ad- gifted experience] The other day, Dann and I went back to Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch to watch the musical The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole. When Dann was younger, he actually read the book this play was based on, however I had not experienced this book, and was interested in what we would see. The Secret Diary of Adrien Mole is about a young teenager, having a particularly eye opening and changing year.

A Day Out at Ellis Leisure’s Inflatable Fun Day

We go out to a lot of inflatable and bouncing events. Robin specifically loves inflatables, and could spend her entire day bouncing on them. So, when we heard about Ellis Leisure‘s Inflatable Fun Days, we were all ready to spend a day in the sun, bouncing around. These fun days happen at various locations all over Essex. You can pay free per person to get a wristband, which allows you either a half day or full day of bouncing.

A Day Out at BCK YRD GOLF

When the weather is nice, we go out and explore mini-golf places! We’ve been to several in the area; from dinosaurs to pirates, we’ve been to everything nearby. When the half term came up, the kids wanted to go to a new mini-golf place, despite the cold weather. As we didn’t want to get stuck in the rain, we looked for local places that were indoor, and came across BCK YRD GOLF, which wasn’t too far away! BCK YRD GOLF aims itself at teenagers / young adults, but does have a family pass for children, so we figured, why not!

A Day Out at the Horrible Histories Live Onboard! Terrible Thames

When looking for some fun things to do with the kids, we found that Horrible Histories was doing another live event. As Kai really loves Horrible Histories, and often we are looking for events he will enjoy, we had to book up tickets and see what it was like. The Horrible Histories Live Onboard! Terrible Thames was a really wonderful tour all up and down the Thames river in London.
