Panic Room Harlow – Sherlock Holmes Room

Last year, at Robin’s international evening at school, she won a raffle prize and picked vouchers for the Panic Room in Harlow. As it’s been a year since that’s happened, we finally got around to using the vouchers, as this weekend was extremely rainy and we needed a good indoor activity. We’ve done several escape rooms previously, which is probably why Robin picked this voucher among all of the toys that were on the table. Panic Room Harlow has a few different rooms to pick from, but Robin chose the Sherlocks Holmes room, primarily because she’s a detective and he’s a detective, so it sounded like a great fit.

Bouquet Cupcake Class with Sweet Designs by Jennie

Each month, Amelia and I take a little mother-daughter time going to a cupcake class, to decorate a bunch of cupcakes. We have been going for quite some time now, but we still find a class we haven’t taken each month to enjoy, primarily due to the new classes that Sweet Designs by Jennie is always coming up with! The bouquet cupcake course was one that Amelia was particularly interested in, as we primarily have done classes that had a lot of fondant work, and this class was all about piping!

Museum of Senses – Unique, Playful Museum

I am a fan of strange or more interactive museums and lately we’ve been hitting them all. When deciding what to do for our day, Dann picked out the Museum of Senses, which was a really fantastic choice. This is a great place for fun-loving adults or kids alike. My feet were pretty tired from walking everywhere, so the idea that we were going to take them off and wear the socks felt very fun! The ticket price does not include their special socks, which are an extra 3 Euros, just as a warning.

Smoke and Fire Festival Ascot – Great Food and Music

[Ad- gifted experience] Last year, we went to the Smoke and Fire Festival in Maldon, which was such a fun vibe! This year, they invited us to the Smoke and fire Festival Ascot, which has very similar vibes, but different showcases and focuses. Dann and I primarily go to food festivals to eat as much different food as we possibly can, which was our goal at the Smoke and Fire Festival Ascot as well.

Afternoon Painting at The Potty Painting Studio

Whenever Amelia has a day off of school without her siblings, she asks to go pottery painting! We’ve been very slowly replacing all of the plates, bowls and cups in our home with ones that we have decorated ourselves. Often, we will get these sorts of items instead of grabbing the more decorated bits, though Amelia does have three little cats, a mushroom decoration and so much more from pottery painting. Recently, when she was off school, we went to The Potty Painting Studio, which was surprisingly nearby.
