I grew up with the idea that you either loved or tolerated camping. I wasn’t quite sure which camp I’d fall into, pun intended, until the opportunity came to give it a go where there is no fancy gear, no prior experience, just a borrowed tent, a few groceries in a cooler bag, and the bold confidence of someone who thought they’d remembered everything.
