[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to the spooky season of October, there is often limited toys that can be associated with Halloween. However, the Crazy Science Monster Lab Starter Kit has a hatch your own monster feature, a daruma where you can play with your monsters, and tons of different creatures to collect. This kit is pretty interesting for children of a variety of ages and has a few different activities for your child to do.
First, we tried to build the base for our soon to be born monsters! There isn’t any written instructions for this and the drawings are a bit hard to follow, but after some tinkering around we feel we figured out where everything went. This stand is within the box, and seems to want children to put their monster eggs into a container under the floor, dripping water into funnel to melt the egg open The thing is – the way we did this – you couldn’t really see the egg and it was taking ages to melt the egg itself. So, instead, we decided to put each of the eggs inside their incubation jar, with their dye, and break them up using the tweezers and spoon that came with the kit. This kept the children far more busy – apart from Kai who was easily able to bash the outside of his monster egg away super quickly! The fizzing of the monster egg (which is essentially like a massive bath bomb) was really fun to watch, especially as they pulled out big chunks and put them in the tray.
Kai, Amelia and Robin all had their own eggs as the Crazy Science Monster Lab Starter Kit contains three. The other two monsters mentioned on the description of the lab are actually cardboard pieces which sit on stands, hanging out in the area. The monsters you hatch, however, can be seen on a large poster of all of the potential monsters you can get. Each of them have a different description, name, weakness, and skill. Robin thought it was really funny that her monster’s weakness was that she had too long of a tongue, that always stuck out! Kai’s monster was very slow in his movement, but also very strong. These monsters were pretty cool looking and the kids all had fun playing around in the diorama after they had hatched their monsters. A good tip, though, would be to not use all of your dye at once – or you might end up with some stained fingers!!

That looks fun
It is!
It sounds like getting the eggs to hatch was a bit of a long winded process which is a shame. It looks like it would be fun otherwise. The monsters seem to be the best part.
It was the way they wanted you too, but we ended up having a lot of fun our own way.
I always wanted these kinds of science kits when I was younger but never got one, these look like loads of fun x
Me too, they are really fun.
