Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos

[Ad- gifted product] Frozen seems to have taken the world by storm. What with the amount of songs being sung, Olaf being mentioned left and right, and the number of children trying to get their parents to bring them to the cinema, it only made sense that loads of new Frozen II products started coming out to compliment the movie; jewellery, stuffed animals, Paintoos and more! The eldest child went off to Frozen II first with a group of her friends, which left the youngest talking about how she wanted to go for ages.

Finally, we decided to take her along. To make things more special, we had some Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos ‘painted’ onto her face for the viewing. The Paintoos come with five different designs on their own sheets, an instructions book, as well as a sponge and a bunch of wipes that are made to take the Paintoos off when the child is done. We had expected these to work more like face paint as we had never had Paintoos before, but they are essentially a large, fake tattoo that can be placed over your child’s face.

Each of the designs in Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos feature main character(s) from Frozen and come in one sheet. You can then easily cut out the different pieces for your child’s face – a piece for each cheek, a forehead piece, and sometimes a nose piece. Cutting inside the dotted lines is important, as the dotted lines transfer like any other bit of the Paintoo. The youngest has a pretty small face, but it was easy to trim down the Paintoos to be the right size, before starting the process of getting them on.

It’s pretty easy to transfer the Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos on to a face. You just need to press the cut out onto the correct part of the face (be careful when it comes to the right cheek for the right bit of Paintoo, as otherwise you might end up with a slightly strange Olaf). Like most temporary tattoos, you’ll need to add water to the paper side of the Paintoo – you can use the included sponge for this, but we found that using a tea towel worked just as well, if not better as it held more water. After the paper is soaked, you need to leave it for a few seconds before pealing it back.

Unlike small temporary tattoos, the Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos seemed more durable and were indeed larger. This means that any edges that stick up or don’t quite hit the right place can be patted down with a wet finger to end up perfectly placed on a face. Once you have the Paintoo placed down, it drys and there you have it – perfectly decked out Frozen II faces to take to the movies or enjoy while singing those never-ending songs. Unlike traditional face paint, these Paintoos don’t wrinkle over time, flake off or itch, instead they just sort of blend into your face.

The included wipes are very nice as they do not smell overly like cleaning products and do get the Paintoos off very quickly, meaning that your child’s face doesn’t need scrubbing and there is no colour or residue left over. After the middle child saw the youngest in her Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos, she wanted one for herself. They took minutes to put on and were super easy to get going, so of course she got to wear them too.

Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos are such an interesting idea – giant temporary tattoos, themed around your favourite Disney film, that you can easily decorate your face with! We really enjoyed our set of five, which made the movie an even more magical experience.

Disney Frozen II Face Paintoos are available from Argos and Amazon for around £12.99rrp.
