We use to regularly do these Doughnut Time DIY kits during lockdown, when we were always looking for fun things to do at home. Since lockdown has long ended, we have actually not done one in a while. The other week, Robin had announced that she wanted to do one again, and missed them. So, after an explore of their site, we settled for the new My Little Pony DIY Kit, which is partnered with the newest My Little Pony remakes, that Robin had previously completed the game of and watched the episodes of on TV.
The Doughnut Time My Little Pony DIY Kit came with four donuts, so Kai, Amelia and Robin decorated their own, while Dann and I split one. Amelia, has decided she doesn’t like donuts, so Dann and I split ours and then eat hers, and she picks a different dessert. That said, she loves decorating them, so still has a great time! This kit came with some vibrant colors; yellow, teal, purple and pink, along with lots of rainbow toppings! There were rainbow sprinkles, rainbow gummy rope, two rice paper toppers that are My Little Pony themed, those rainbow puff things and two large rainbow sprinkles. There were also strawberry candy toppers and strawberry chocolate shavings too. I really liked the new container all the sprinkles came in, which is magnetic and has lots of slots, that clearly could be re-used for small crafting items.
When it came down to making the donuts, it’s always a good time. We snipped the ends off the icing and let our kids get to work, decorating with different designs. Robin and Kai go for the colorful but adding on as much frosting as humanly possible because it’s delicious route. Amelia attempted some intricate flowers, and found that some of the icing was more runny then another, so ended up with a colorful background, and Dann and I took turns making a colorful design and spreading some of the frosting with a toothpick to make some detail work in it.
We all then added sprinkles and toppers to our Doughnut Time My Little Pony DIY Kit, before taking a picture then tucking in! Kai, who is a teen that does not find My Little Pony fun to really decorated, really enjoyed the eating part of this kit, where he devoured his entire donut in record time, topping it off by squirting a bit of extra icing into his mouth. There actually is plenty of toppings and icing, as we always have some left over! I really enjoyed how colorful this kit was – My Little Pony always feels so magical!
What a lovely idea, I did just pop over quickly and looked at their site, I know my daughter would love this as would my grandkids

Your delightful description of the kit’s contents and the creative process of decorating and enjoying those donuts brought a smile to my face. As a mom always on the lookout for fun and engaging activities, your review was both insightful and inspiring. It’s heartwarming to hear how this kit brought joy to your family, especially to Robin, who missed these DIY kits. The choice of My Little Pony-themed toppings and vibrant colors sounds like an absolute treat for kids and adults alike.
