I’ve been told time and time again that moving water is good for cats! Pancake always is swatting at his water and drinking from the tap, so when we saw Herbie’s Water Fountain for Cats, we figured this was great for our moving water drinking cat. We really like the look of the flower and the glow of the tank – there is a lot of positives to having a fountain as appose to just a water bowl.
This fountain is super lovely for cats who like moving water! There is a USB plug that needs to plug into a power source to make the water flow. The container holds at least a month of water it seems, which has a window on the front to show how full it is. Inside of the water unit, there is a filter to keep the water clean and fresh during that time period as well. There are a few different modes – mainly with the flower on which makes a bunch of streams and with the flower off, which bubbles like a brook. The brook setting is what we leave ours on, as Pancake is a bit of a scared cat and doesn’t seem to like flowers too much. He once pounced on a flower and it didn’t die, so he ran inside and has been scared ever since.
The entire unit glows a soft blue at night, lighting up his food bowl and area, as well as showing anyone who wanders into the kitchen that there is a unit of water on the floor. This is really clever and makes for a great nightlight in the kitchen! The fountain is easy to take apart, allowing you to clean the top metal area or replace water with ease. It’s a great product that I really think most cats will enjoy.
We’ve had Herbie’s Water Fountain for Cats for a few weeks now and Pancake uses it sometimes, he seems a bit cautious of it as he is with most new things, but he is slowly warming up to it! Hopefully he will fully start to trust this new device and enjoy it to it’s fullest, as it’s a lovely product well worth the price tag.

This looks great – I have been considering getting a fountain for the cats as of late. I know that Jinx loves drinking water out of the faucet, so this might keep her out of the sink or the shower when I’d like to use it lol

This is pretty cool! My cat would freak out about the lights LOL. But she’s a diva and would love having a special new “toy”

My cat used to love drinking out of our kitchen tap all the time so this fountain would be ideal! Looks fabulous.
They do very much like taps!
