Experiencing Magic in House of Dreamers

Dann and I really enjoy going to places that feel like they might be made for Instagram – places that are a little different and out of the way. So, while in Paris, we wanted to check out the House of Dreamers. The House of Dreamers might have started off as a Barbie Experience, based on the amount of pink and the fun Barbie vibes, but now acts as a bunch of magical, mysterious rooms, many of which have different phrases that felt empowering and motivating, which was a really positive experience.

First, we took a train in House of Dreamers, which is like a pastel train carriage with windows that showed us going to a new, magical world. There were rainbows, butterflies, and fantastic music, before we entered a hall with flower trees and a massive moon. There weren’t many people on the day we went, so it felt a lot like we had each area to ourselves. We made our way through the beautiful moon area and then the next area had a wall of old phones, all ringing, that you could pose with.

There was a little tunnel that had a nod to The Wizard of Oz, with music playing, before entering a ball pit. I feel like places like House of Dreamers always have a ball pit! This area was actually quite busy, with lots of people hanging out in the back of the ball pit, playing. We went down the slide, which was extremely fast, a few times before finishing off and continuing on. It was a little confusing on where to go next, but we asked a member of staff as it seemed like we’d miss something if we went the wrong way. This took us to the disco ball room, and a bunch of upside-down rooms that we weren’t quite sure how to pose in.

The rest of the areas, I cannot quite remember the order, we saw some smaller things like a bedroom set up, with butterflies and a book that you could write some comments in, another area that had buttons to allow you to change your view of the world; there were lots of these little rooms and changes that seemed nice! These little interactions were well spaced out, too. There was a giant area full of punching bags with French and English words on them that we could punch, a tunnel of rainbow hearts, a basketball area where you could throw large balls into hopes that had empowering words on them. There is plenty to do!

Dann quite liked this reflective room in The House Of Dreamers, where a giant projection made the floor look like water and fireworks. It was fantastic and we really enjoyed going at our own pace between these rooms. Another had lots of pink and cakes, a long table, perfect for pictures. We walked through a magical flower forest, ending by a huge wall where you could put your wishes on paper and hang them up, before seeing some iconic swings that had nice backgrounds at the very end. We enjoyed our time at The House of Dreamers and really picked the perfect time of day to go!

You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
