We are currently going to Legoland Windsor quite a bit at the moment, due to all of the events that they have on! Most recently, we went to the Firework Spectacular; a little celebration for bonfire night. Unlike the Halloween Event, the Firework Spectacular actually didn’t effect any of the rides or the park as a whole. Instead, it had the park open a few hours later, so that everyone could watch some lovely fireworks.
You can purchase a ticket to the park and stay until the fireworks are on display or you can purchase a Brick Seat Premium ticket, which gave you access to a bunch of extras before the fireworks went on. We were lucky enough to get tickets to this seating, and boy was it worth it. After a long day of walking around and getting on rides, it just feels better to have a place to sit for the fireworks. As soon as it was dark we headed over to the seating queue and waited to see what it was all about.
The Legoland Windsor Firework Spectacular had a bunch of 3D glasses (like those paper ones you may remember from when you were a kid) which you could purchase. These actually made the fireworks look like bricks. When I heard this, I assumed they meant the fireworks would be like, pixelated, but I was wrong. They look like detailed Lego bricks. You can purchase these around the park, however one came with our seating! Each of us got a goody bag of items to have when we sat down in our seats. Seats were arranged in little family units, so you weren’t very close to any other families.
Inside the bag we got; Brick 3D glasses, a lanyard for the event, an exclusive Pop Badge, a choice of cotton candy bucket or pop corn bucket, a choice of soda, water or juice and we were handed a themed cupcake to eat while we waited for the show to start. This goodie bag is a cute idea, and we loved the new pop badge for our collection! The kids chowed down on the snacks, which worked out well, as we waited for the fireworks to start.
There was music playing too, from Rock and Roll Lego Station, that was commenting on the fireworks and how they were starting soon. The show was then timed to music, going on for around half an hour. All of the fireworks were well themed, and with the Brick Glasses, it was just a amazing showcase of colors, lights and explosions. When we were done, you could return back to the park for half an hour to ride more rides, but we headed out to get some dinner instead. I am so glad we got the seats to sit in, otherwise it would have been quite the long day for us all; these tickets are well worth it!
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
That sounds like so much fun! I love that they had LEGOs in the sky. I would expect nothing less. LOL
I should have had higher expectations!!
I’ve tried the brick glasses and they do work great with the lights. Legoland is fun.
I had never heard of them before! They are so much fun!
I freaking love this! I’m not a huge Lego fan to be honest, but that looks like so much fun. Plus who doesn’t like fireworks?!
It is such a fun time!
This sounded like such fun to start, but I must say the fact that the glasses make the fireworks into bricks made it all so much cooler. I love that so much. I think I would head out after that, as well. It just seems the perfect ending,
The glasses really impressed me!
I’ve always wanted to visit Legoland. Loved all your pics!
It is such a fun place to explore!
Ooh how fun!! Looks like such a fun evening spent with the fam and how pretty the fireworks are!
It must be so much fun over there. Wish we too had legoland here too.
