Lizi’s Granola – Perfect for Crumbles

[Ad- gifted products] When it comes to granola, we often eat them as parfaits with yogurt, a staple easy breakfast for our household. There are actually a lot of different granolas on the market; some with fruit pieces, some with seeds, some that are quite plain in flavor too. Lizi’s Low Sugar Nuts & Seeds Granola is an actually a pretty fun granola, despite saying low in sugar, with a bunch of seeds and nuts throughout it. Robin had a fun time picking out the different seeds and trying them individually, as she hadn’t had seeds before! We also tried their Maple and Pecan, which has my favorite nuts in them and a nice amount of sweetness.

We used the granola in two ways; first we had some of them on top of some yogurt that we had made, along with some berries. Granola often gives a good, crunchy texture to yogurt and it’s such an easy breakfast to pull together, often one we use for school days. We also took Delicia Bale‘s suggestion and created some crumble with the granola. I had never thought about crumbles for breakfast, but it turns out, they are a perfect for the cold autumn mornings.

We combined a bunch of fruit (in our case, some strawberries we had picked and frozen from Cammas Hall and some frozen mango) and heated them up in a baking dish with a bit of vanilla and a bit of honey on top. Once they were warm and squishy in texture, we added a layer of Low Sugar Nuts and Seeds Granola to the top of the crumble. There are so many fun textures in this granola, it’s really quite ideal for the top of crumbles! In the recipe we were provided, they had used peaches, but we aren’t really a peach family. They also topped it with Greek Yogurt, but we found the crumble to be perfect as is, warmed up.

Lizi’s has been creating granola since 2003, where they have championed sustainability and healthy eating, without compromising flavor. Their granolas, in our experience, are very well crated. It’s not one that says things like “nuts” and only has a few throughout. It’s clearly a granola made with a lot of love! I also appreciate the re-sealable bags that make storage very easy, keeping the granola fresh as well.

It is a great way to get seeds into your diet as they are so good for you. I will have to get some granola for my kids to try and maybe also add some yogurt to it. This one sounds great!

I love Granola but I am always worried about the sugar content so it is great to see that Lizis are low sugar and I like the sound of making a crumble yum yum xx
