[Ad- gifted product] Kai, (my eldest child) is currently doing some awesome homework projects all about space and the solar system, and he has been super pumped about it. We’ve enjoyed doing many of these projects with him and watching him learn through his work. When LookLearn reached out with their line of sleek posters which aims to help children learn through seeing fun, stylish educational posters that would look great in their bedroom or in any room of the house, really.
The creator of LookLearn was inspired by decorating his daughters’ bedrooms, where he searched for educational posters that would look nice within the room. As he had been in the design business for over twenty years, he found that the overcrowded, full of colour, almost childish posters wouldn’t do, so he went on to design his own covering a bunch of different topics like colour, shape, the human skeleton, multiplication and of course, space.
After searching through the wide selection of sleek posters, we found The Solar System in Yellow to be the best one to fit our home. The planets themselves are white silhouettes, with various facts coming off of them in yellow. These facts tell you about each planet’s Equatorial radius, length of each year, length of each day, and the average temperature. This entire picture comes on a black background – and the poster is big. Much bigger than we both figured it would be as it’s actually the size of a poster. Framed, it makes a great addition to any room in the house.
LookLearn’s posters are made to look amazing in frames, fitting into any room in the house. Some contain more colour while others are more simplistic in look, but each one is very sleek and minimalist. This is why they appeal to us; often educational posters, as Peter Higgins felt, are very cartoonish or feel childish, however this poster could fit in an office or a child’s room, and both could learn from glancing up at it from time to time.
Omg I need this! I homeschool my little ones and we’re about to start learning about the solar system.
These are so very good! Very sleek as well.
These look really good! They look like a display you would see at an exhibition or museum. Very educational and informative.
Yeah they are really high quality!
I love posters of space stuff. My sister got me the image of the night sky at the exact time I was born for Christmas one year and I love looking at it.
But after looking at the website, I love the idea behind them. One of my favorites is how to say hello in different languages. It seems like these would be such good gift ideas 🙂
We almost went with the Hello one! I felt like even with the prompts, I’d butcher the way you pronounce them. The poster you got sounds touching!
That is such a great idea…I would have loved something like this when I was at school. Art with learning!
Same! Schools should get some.
