I am a big fan of body butters! During the autumn months, my skin does get quite dry, especially as the weather changes. That’s the best time to use body butters, as they are far more nourishing and rejuvenating when it comes to dry skin. As it gets colder outside, I am always looking for lovely smelling body butters to add into my skincare routine! I got to try the Mango Body Butter from The Mango Girl – and I am quite impressed!

I tend to use body butter primarily on my skin, but the Mango Body Butter can be used on your hair, to encourage growth and moisturize your scalp. The butter itself smells so much like mango – but isn’t overwhelming once on your skin – which makes it the perfect body butter for me. If you haven’t had a body butter before, it’s a thicker, whipped type of lotion – and the texture is exactly what I was expecting. When put on your skin, like any lotion, you can still feel it on the surface, but it isn’t too think or oily! I have been using the Mango Body Butter on my dry patches – especially my elbows – and it really has made a difference in my dry skin.

The Mango Girl is a company based in Ireland, ran by an immigrant called Dr. Ava Eagle Brown, who came over from Jamaica to find a better life after surviving years of abuse. The large use of the mango fruit in most of the products at The Mango Girl are inspired by Ava’s memories of her home country, combined by her knowledge in skin care. The Mango Girl uses natural shea butters, coconut oils and fruits to keep their products gentle for any skin type, as well as vegan and cruelty free.

They have just re-launched their products, gearing up for some new ranges and an overhaul on their site, so if you haven’t tried The Mango Girl yet – now is the time!

Thanks a millipn, this really has impacted me in a good way as you know my journey so far. The brand wqs formed out of a nasty divorce that left me a single mama, broke and broken.
