Coloring with Marvin’s Amazing Magic Pens

Marvin's Amazing Magic Pens

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to coloring, Robin and Amelia are both little artists! They love experimenting with new crafting tools, from mess free paint pens to crafting with clay! Recently, we got our hands on Marvin’s Amazing Magic Pens, which are super interesting, color changing pens that can be used to color in a whole new way. The girls were really interested in them, especially as they are called Magic Pens.

There are plenty of colors inside the box to play around with! These pens come in a few different types. The main, pen base color is the color the pen will write. The cap and bottom showcase the color they will transform when you use the white, magic pen. Some solid colors turn white, while other colors change to a completely new color! A purple pen turns green, a black pen turns pink – it’s really fun to play around with! These dramatic changing pens were the pens the girls really enjoyed most, creating different pictures then intricately changing their colors!

Marvin’s Amazing Magic Pens do have a lot of fun to be had. We soon discovered, as per the box, that you can write in the white magic pen, let it dry, and then reveal it to create secret messages. Unlike other reveal magic pens (which Kai has previously received in science kits) this white pen really does dry completely without being able to see the message at all! Robin and Amelia spent quite some time handing each other secret messages, then watching the other person scribble on the page to reveal what was written. I can also see Kai, who is not quite as into crafts, enjoying this feature too.

The pens that are a solid color but turn white using the magic pen were also used and interesting too, but the stark contradiction in colors will always be the thing that most kids find more interesting! This kit of Marvin’s Amazing Magic Pens had plenty of colors included, and is great for creating patterns and designs through using both the color initially drawn and the color revealed using the white pen. The kit also has four white pens, so there is little chance of them being lost. I was worried at first that the white pen might change color at the tip, from drawing over the drawings so much, but they didn’t change color at all, which is very good.

Many thanks for the chance to win. I’d like to see my nephew & niece quabbling over them whilst my sister-in-law struggles to maintain order!
