Decorating for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with Little Brian

AD – the items in this review were gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is coming up, and we’ve been quite excited about this huge event! As an American living in England, the kids have told me all about the Queen’s Jubilee, how long she has been queen, and all things queen related. We then made some cute pictures and art with Little Brian paint sticks and did some face painting decorations, to get ready to celebrate. Little Brian is also doing a competition, where you can make decorations with your child using Little Brian Paint Sticks, and upload your image, for a chance to win a huge bundle of goodies.

Little Brian Paint Sticks

Little Brian Paint Sticks are a really mess free way to paint and color, providing more coverage than crayons but everything dries really fast, unlike paint. We used the paint sticks to create all sorts of art! It is worth noting that you can twist the bottom of these paint sticks to allow more to come out – and there is a lot in each stick. Amelia and Robin first made their own princess and queen crowns, which Robin decorated with little gems! She said this was because the Queen is very fancy. We then drew castles, where the queen would live. Amelia spent some time creating the outside design and helping Robin with it, though Robin added a little poppy to the side of hers as well. Both of the kids found Little Brian Paint Sticks very easy to use, with lots of colors! It was very mess free too. Kai, the lover of flags, decided to make a bunch of Union flags for bunting or to hang around the house – he hasn’t decided yet. He also made some bigger flags he put in his room!

Little Brian Face Paint Sticks

We also got sent a pack of Little Brian Face Paint Sticks, which allow you to very easily paint your child’s face. It dries super fast too, which is great as kids often start touching whatever is on their face within moments of it being on there. The children were pretty predictable, with Robin and Amelia wanting some cute crowns and Kai wanting a flag on his cheek. You can’t make thin, fin lines with these paint sticks – as they have a flat tip, but you can twist them to allow more to come out and angle them to get more of a thin line. I found this to be an amazing idea for parties – as people can face paint each other easily! All three children really loved the idea of face painting and were pumped with their face paint for the evening. It’s such a fun idea for a party!

Getting ready for the The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee has been such a breeze with Little Brian and it’s been fun creating decorations for the house and trying out face painting ideas!

It’s so lovely that we’re all able to get together and celebrate the Jubilee! To think that just a year or two ago, we were really limited in what we were able to do – I’m sure it will be a great time for celebration for us all.

I love it. I was wondering what can I give for my niece’s birthday and I saw this. I’m getting one of these, I’m sure my niece will love it. Cool activity.

What a fun and crafty way to get the kids involved in the celebration, something a lot of us probably won’t get to see again in our lifetimes x
