Millie & Friends Mouse in the House Toyset

Mouse in the House playset

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to toys, I feel like new concepts are being created and worked on each day. Millie & Friends Mouse in the House is a whole new idea, that brings together decorating your room with adding some toy sets around it, which can make for a really interesting concept for little ones! In Robin’s room, we have a bunch of fairy doors around the edges, which she sometimes plays with, pretending fairies are there – so the idea of having a whole playset meant to go around your room is pretty neat!

We ended up getting the Mouse in the House Millie and Friends Red Apple School Playset – which looks like an apple school, with a slide. One side of the school is flat, so it can be pushed up against your houses skirting, making it seem like it’s a world inside your walls. Much like the concept that mice can live inside walls, with big holes that they move in and out of, your playsets will be creating a world along the walls.

Robin really wanted to play with the mouse in the House playset against our TV stand, for some reason, which looks similar enough to our skirting that I said sure. I think she just wanted to be in the middle of the living room, playing near her siblings, as they were playing on the TV at the time, so she could watch here and there.

Setting up the Mouse in the House playset is really fun. Each set comes with a bunch of stickers that you can then put against your skirting, creating an entire story. Along with the school playset, we got a little collectable figures set, which had a two, two characters and tons of stickers as well. Robin placed them around, creating signs to new areas, little details to her door like a window to show it has a whole house, and school posters to act like there was outdoor schooling. The school playset had some desks, shelves and characters that were attending school, so creating a little school area is pretty simple! The school playset also had two strings coming off of it, which she was able to decorate with flags, creating bunting. This bunting can then plug into other playsets, connecting them and creating fun decorations for a row of a town.

Though Mouse in the House has a bunch of stickers for your skirting, there are also ones that go on your floor. We did end up letting Robin put these on a piece of paper, as we have carpet, but it is worth noting so that you possibly pick a place that has non-carpet flooring. Getting the stickers off your wall isn’t too easy, but it’s not too hard either. They do come off but not all in one go as one sticker, and instead seem to have a layer that is a bit more challenging to get off.

Robin loved the idea of Mouse in the House and had a lovely time creating her little world and then playing with it. I can imagine an entire wall dedicated to all of the different playsets, decorated to be a world in her imagination. It’s a really lovely concept, that takes advantage of the small space around rooms!
