SpyBots Robots – Security Robots for your Room

Spybots

*AD – the items in this review were gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

We have previously used a lot of spy kits on our blog, because being a spy is a phase every child seems to go through. As Kai has gotten older, he has become more interested int eh concept of spies. Being sneaky, spying, and solving some sort of mystery is something he quite enjoys. When he saw the SpyBots on TV, through advertisements, he was super interested in getting them!

SpyBots Robots

SpyBots Cybernetic Security Robots Room Guardian

Kai’s favourite of the two robots is the Room Guardian. As a nearly-teen, it is always important that nobody go in his room. This SpyBot actually hands on your door, sensing whenever someone is coming in your room. The bot then lights up, demanding a code. If a code is entered incorrectly or if it runs out of time, the robot itself starts beeping and loudly announcing that there is an intruder. The Room Guardian is very easy to program and set up, so you can create any code you want and change it after. Kai really enjoyed how quick you needed to put in the code, declaring it would stop his sisters from entering his room. The light up aspect and the loud voice are both well done on the Room Guardian, and it’s a great idea for those who like privacy but aren’t at the point of locking their doors yet. Plus, as Kai said, it’s just such a cool Robot!

SpyBots Cybernetic Security Robots Super Bright Tracking Light

The second SpyBots we ended up with is the Super Bright Tracking Light robot, which is interesting to watch. This Robot feels more like a traditional robot, where as the room guardian feels like a security system. This robot actually moves around your room, moving it’s bright light around like a head searching, and whenever it finds someone in it’s path, it starts warning people by announcing Intruder Alert over and over. Kai, Amelia and Robin found this robot to be super interesting to watch, almost like our robot vacuum, as it will sense and move about on it’s own. The robot itself doesn’t work perfectly on carpet, sometimes knocking itself over, but on hardwood floors, it’s something that is fun to watch and does a good job of alerting you when someone is in. I can see Kai setting up this robot when the girls have sleepovers, to protect his room while he is not in it!

Both of these Spybots as well as other types are available on Amazon and at Smyths Toy Superstores!

That would be fun to watch. I like the one that says Intruder Alert. I’d get this for my nephew. I’ll keep my eyes open for it.
