We do have a bit of a sweet tooth in the Sullivan-Hadley household, especially when it comes to spring time and you see all of these new chocolates appearing in stores. Rocky Road has always been an interesting treat as it’s not very common in America – or at least not really around where I lived. Rocky Road reminds me of a much more indulgent chocolate bark, with more fillings instead of just small toppings. To fill our sweet cravings, Mummy Meagz have sent us their four types of Rocky Road; Original, Minty, Orange and Salt & Tender Toffee.
All of Mummy Meagz treats are vegan, including these rocky roads. They don’t taste like dark chocolate with that said, as some people feel that vegan chocolate might just be dark chocolate. The bars are free from 13 out of 14 major allergens, which make them idea for sweet-toothed individuals with dietary restrictions. They also do not contain fruit, because, according to Mummy Meagz ‘who want’s fruit in Rocky Road?!’ a very funny statement on their box. Mummy Meagz originally started with her own shop, Blondes Coffee Shop, which was opened with her daughter. Mummy Meagz is a lifelong egalitarian who then turned vegan, and continues to create her favourite treats. But, onto the Rocky Roads.
The orange flavor Rocky Road was our household favourite. The orange flavor is just lovely – complemented by the marshmallows and praline. The chocolate in all of these rocky road bars are fudge like, unlike chocolate bark, which is very satisfying to enjoy. The crunchy bits and soft marshmallows throughout are plentiful and delicious. My next favourite was is mint, for the same reasons as orange – the mint flavor is so forward, leaving your mouth minty and chocolatey. My personal, next favourite was the original, which is a very good rocky road bar! As it’s original, there isn’t any additional flavor, which is fine. My least favourite was the Salt & Tender Toffee, but this is just because I don’t care for tender toffee personally. The bar was still great and having big crunches was super satisfying. All of the rocky road treats were really good quality and everyone enjoyed eating them!
We enjoyed our chocolates thoroughly and would totally order these in the future. Mummy Meagz also has vegan, chocolate, creme filled eggs if they are something you are looking for!

I love rocky roads but only ever tried original. I love that there are so many other flavours out there, orange and mint sound so nice! This sounds like a lovely treat, especially with a cup of tea! Thanks for sharing your recommendation! <3 xx
