My Fairy Garden Fairy Garden | Toy Review

As the weather improves, we decided to start planting our grass for the My Fairy Garden toy. This innovative toy by Interplay is the first in their line of toys that combines nature and play, allowing children to grow different plants and grass while also having toys and decorations for their miniature land. The process is relatively simple, and it’s a great way to introduce children to gardening and nature.

After taking the contents out of the box, we had colourful rocks, chunky confetti, small trinkets, a little fairy house to make, a small mouse and a fairy doll. It was simple to put together the house and small home for the mouse, before filling the bowl with water, mixing it with seeds, and letting the kids decorate with all of their objects. A small fairy garden was put together within the birdbath shaped bowl, complete with a fairy clothing line that we had assembled. Once we had everything in place, we watered the dirt and left the grass to grow in the backyard. The girls have had a fun time watering their plant and checking for grass to appear.

We really liked the size of the bowl for the fairy garden, as it doesn’t feel too big to take up space or too small to not be fun to play with. The fairy has moved around, starting inside the home and being moved when the garden is checked on and watered. There are a lot of little decorations and fun objects to decorate with, which is really great to see, even if the girls choose to make theirs very similar to the box’s picture of how it can look.

This type of toy, something that brings gardening and showcases growth over time is very fun and different from other indoor toys. You could keep yours inside, but our windows are full of plants, so having it outside was a better idea for us, for now.
