Windsor Great Park Illuminated Light Trail

On our adventures of going to more Light Trails, we wanted to visit one more to round out the Christmas season. So, we went to the Windsor Great Park Illuminated Light Trail, which was massive, but started at a classic Christmas food area, with a bunch of rides. This area, unlike Wimpole Estate’s light trail, isn’t ticketed, so it was very busy, full of people ordering from the massive amount of food stands and riding on different rides. It’s a good collection of food, actually, one of the best we have been to this year!

Peter Pan Light Trail in Krakow – Piotruś Pan – Ogród Świateł

Our family really loves light trails. We’ve gone to many light trails in England, as well as exploring some in other countries across the world. When I recently went to Krakow for a work trip, I saw a light trail and just had to check it out. The Peter Pan Light Trail in Krakow (called Piotruś Pan – Ogród Świateł) is primarily aimed at younger children, but that didn’t stop me from having a fantastic time.

Exploring Battersea Light Festival 2025

Dann and I both very much love a light festival. We go to as many as possible throughout the year, so of course we walked around Battersea to see the Battersea Light Festival again this year. They had a lot going on this year, with the Light Festival taking place during the February half-term, along with different free activities that families can take part in during the day, including stain glass making, painting and so much more. We just went for the light festival, but saw the signs for the other activities which did look like fun!

Seeing the Winter Lights at Christmas at Blenheim Palace

We have gone to a lot of winter light trails this year, but even as the Christmas season has ended, there are still some open! We wanted to go out to a Christmas market for dinner and see a light trail, so we made our way to Blenheim Palace. Dann and I went on a date night there a few years back and really enjoyed it, so we figured it would be fun to take our children as they don’t care about the longer drives. Blenheim Palace has a few features, all with different ticket prices. The market itself is free, but you can pay to go on the light trail, go inside the Neverland themed-palace and to go ice skating. After talking it over with everyone, they declared they didn’t want to ice skate or go in the palace, so we went for the food and trail.

An Evening Out at Enlightened Hylands Estate

There are a ton of light trails in Essex and we were looking to hit quite a few! After going to Enlightened Colchester last year, we wanted to bounce back to the Enlightened closest to us; Hylands Estate, which we had not visited since 2021. Enlightened Hylands Estate is one of the Enlightened Trails in and around Essex, of which there are quite a few! These trails, we find, are ideal for children as there are tons of interactive moments and lots of good places to take pictures.
