Harlow Chinese School Cooking Course – Buns, Soup and Pork

After discovering the Harlow Chinese School‘s cooking courses earlier this year, we were anxiously awaiting the next course to attend. As they are aiming to do this each and every month, we were prepared for March. The cooking course this time had a big variety of food; stuffed buns, flower buns, corn and chicken soup, and char siu pork. Unlike the last time we attended, some of the food that was being made was demonstrated only this time, but we really did get our fill of knowledge and food.

Midweek Meal Inspo; Mini-Meat Balls, Spooky Grilled Cheese, Orange Chicken & more

This week’s bunch of recipes is really chicken heavy – and that’s due to a lot of our fish and beef meals being ones I have already featured on our blog! Orange chicken is one we have had before, but I figured it would be fine to keep one repeat in the post. This week, Robin helped a lot with breakfasts and with one of the dinners, but otherwise we were pretty busy and looking for dishes that could be made quite quickly!

8 Easy Spooky Treats for Halloween

We have been cooking up a storm in our household – from healthy foods like soups to anything with pumpkin puree to sweet treats perfect for a party or packed lunch! I wanted to share some of the best, spooky, delicious treats for you to enjoy with your family. As we love to theme everything, it’s so fun to share these recipes with you, and I hope you do get to try some of them out! If you would like to watch me create some spooky lunches, fun breakfasts and more, I also have a TikTok where I create recipe videos!

Monster Wraps

Making a great and filling lunch, we created some of these monster wraps. The idea is simple – create a wrap of your choice, then cut some hair out of sliced cheese and make some eyes out of olives sliced up (though you could use red pepper to make eyes, if your not a fan of olives). We filled our wrap with red pepper hummus, cucumbers and slices of chicken, and then decorate them once they are rolled up. These impress so much in packed lunches!
