Getting a new cat has been a wild ride. He’s made a mess of my rug, eaten way too much dropped food and demanded a lot of attention. However, I really do love Pancake. I love Pancake, the flat-faced cat living in my livingroom, so much that I decided to get a personalized sock with his face on it. Printsfield does these pretty funny, well made personalized socks that you can get virtually any face put onto it; your pets, your friend’s pets, your friends faces, socks with your face on them – anyone really.
It would be too silly if just faces were on your socks (though you can get up to three different faces), there also is a bunch of funky backgrounds from galaxy to the words ‘Cat Mom’ to various foods. The website is colorful and fun to search around, especially with the huge variety of backgrounds that can come on your wonderfully silly personalized socks. Once a background is picked, the process is really easy as well.
I picked out a donut background, though thinking back sushi might have fit well. My thinking was donuts are a breakfast food and Pancake is a breakfast name, so they just fit together so well. Then, you upload your picture. There is no editing that needs to be done on your end, you can upload a full picture of a human or pet, which then gets edited by the company. This means that you do not need to photo edit at all, which is really great and accessible. You can add in some notes for the person who does end up doing editing, but then you’re done.
My Printsfield socks came quite quickly in the mail, despite the time listed on their website, and looked really lovely. The colors were vibrant, Pancake looked like himself, these are really great cat socks! Everyone in our family could recognize our pet and the face on the sock did not stretch too much when it’s warn. The fabric is quite different from regular cotton socks, it feels much softer, but does get those little bubbles of lint upon the first few wears. These easily come off and really aren’t a big deal though. The black bit of the sock, that’s meant to be the heel of your foot, was a touch small for me as well. These personalized socks held up well in the wash and didn’t fade.
I feel that that these socks are a funny idea, especially as a gift for those who have everything. Children also seem to be a very big fan of colorful socks with their family members on them! I really love my funky socks with my cat on them and quite enjoy wearing these silly things.
