Pulsitos – healthy, gluten free snacks | Review

Pulsitos

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to trying out new snacks, we are always itching to get our hands on anything savory and crunchy! Pulsitos have a range of healthy, vegan, gluten free grab and go snacks, that even feature plastic free packing – great for those who want to be conscientious about our planet. We got the chance to try out three flavors of Pulsitos – Lightly Salted, Sweet Chili and Mediterranean Herbs. These snacks are high in protein as well, great for an energy boost midday.

Lightly Salted Pulsitos

The lightly salted pulsitos are the most ‘default’ of the flavors. The creators, Laura and Sean actually ate similar snacks in Barcelona, where they came up with the idea to create this snack company. These are broad beans, which are slated and baked off to create a crispy and crunchy texture. Traditionally, they are often served lightly salted, so this made for a good introduction into broad bean snacks – as we have previously tried a lot of fava bean based snacks – as they taste quite crunchy and natural.

Sweet Chili Pulsitos

Sweet Chili is one of those flavors that I feel are a key part of England’s food. Everyone knows what sweet chili is here and they have expectations when they try it! These pulsitos do taste of sweet chili, again it’s a light flavor letting the broad beans taste through it too, but it’s one that does build as you eat through the stack. This was the flavor Dann enjoyed the most, as he grew up with sweet chili and enjoys it!

Mediterranean Herbs Pulsitos

Mediterranean herbs was my favourite flavor of Pulsitos. It’s a great mix of herbs – coming out tasting so flavorful. You don’t get as much of the broad bean flavor, but it’s crunchy, fresh tasting, savoriy, and clearly would go great as a salad topper as it matches so many lovely flavors. This snack flavor had the most flavor in it, for me, and I do like really flavorful treats. You could see all the herbs coating each one – deliious.

The packaging, as previously mentioned, is plastic free – but it’s also in those almost fruit shooter packaging that lets you rip off the end and dump a bunch into your mouth. Each package has the perfect amount for a snack, and I am sure they’d find many uses on soups, salads, and even charcuterie boards.
