Pumpkin Nights at Hatter’s Farm

We have been pumpkin picking at Hatter’s Farm every year for the last four years, as it’s one of our absolute favorites! This year, for the first time, we decided we wanted to see Pumpkin Nights at Hatter’s Farm – mainly as Amelia was really interested in the differences from the daytime. So, one evening in October, we all headed over there, even though we had been there during the day. As such, this will primarily focus on the differences between the day and the night! At Pumpkin Nights, you can still get a pumpkin, eat a a smaller selection of the food trucks, and explore the corn maze, however, we had already done those things so focused on what was specific for the night time.

All of the wonderful decorations at Hatter’s Farm were completely lit up for Pumpkin Nights at Hatter’s Farm, which was so fantastic to see. I’m talking huge lights, smaller fairy lights, spotlights, dotted all around. We had a fun time seeing the differences between the daytime and the night time just in the way that everything looked. Even the pumpkin cannons, which Hatter’s Farm is known for, was open in the night time with huge spotlights on the targets! We headed towards the short spooky clown walk, which had an attendant at the front. She explained that the spooky walk, as it’s night time, had two spooky actors inside, just so we were aware. These two actors move along the walk, looking to spook everyone who comes into it, and did end up spookying me a little bit as I am easily spooked!

From there, we checked out the live music, as a stage had a small band performing. This was quite fun, as they haven’t had music any of the other times that we came. It’s right by the food area, so you can grab some food and listen to some music while you eat. We also explored all of the other decorations, including the Pumpkin Wonderland which I still very much love, before following all of the neon signs towards the pumpkin patch. These signs, I have never noticed at night, but glow really bright in the evening. The walk was short, but very fun, and full of music. It lead to a neon pumpkin section, that too, my breath way. These pumpkins were all in glowing blue light, covered in neon paint. They were so much fun to walk through, especially with the music playing around it.

We then went into the pumpkin patch, which was a little muddy and still full of pumpkins, but as we weren’t looking for a pumpkin specifically, didn’t stick around long. There were so many people there picking out their pumpkin and the field was very, very well lit! Pumpkin nights had primarily couples and older kids exploring, but there was still plenty to do for the whole family. It’s a nice offering that does feel a little different and a little more spooky.
