How to organise a roulette-themed night with friends

Are you hosting a night with your friends soon? Maybe you’re searching for inspiration for your best friend’s birthday? If you want something a little different for the next big night in, try your luck with a roulette-themed event. Bring the glamour of Vegas to your evening and wow your guests. To find out how to make this an unforgettable experience, here are some tips to help bring everything together.

Plan ahead

As with any party, it’s important to get the basics sorted before you get into the finer details. Everyone’s got hectic schedules, so make sure you work out when everyone’s free. Once you have a date in place, you can focus on the prep.

You’ll need to make sure you can access all the essentials, like a roulette wheel, dice and chips to bet with. Introducing an interactive element can be fun too. Maybe arrange to have a screen set up so you can play some roulette online

Also, decorate the room you’ll be playing in. Gold accessories and bright lights are sure to create the ideal atmosphere. Why not add a poster or two on the wall too? Hang a picture of the Las Vegas sign and include some red and black balloons too.

Dress to impress

For the full experience, why not get dressed up? It can be fun to have a dress code that sees everyone in suits and glitzy dresses. Let your guests know ahead of time that you’d like them to wear their finest ensembles. You could send an invite over WhatsApp or go a step further and create roulette-themed invites.

Eat up

There are plenty of food options for your game night. Finger foods are an easy option. Think sliders, mini pizzas, shrimp cocktail and French fries. It’s also fun to ask everyone to bring their own. One person could take charge of dips while another could oversee the desserts. This can make the planning part of the party easier and can be especially handy if you have limited cooking space in your kitchen.

Mood music

Every party needs a good soundtrack. As you’re throwing a roulette-themed event, create a playlist that will get everyone in the mood for a fun night. You could choose songs that reference red and black to be really on the nose or go all-out with classics like Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas and Frank Sinatra’s Luck Be a Lady. In fact, anything by the Rat Pack is ideal for this type of party.
