Amelia has been so excited for the next cupcake class! We both go together, as daughter-mother time, each month. She picked the Spooky Cupcake Class for October, which felt very fitting and had some fantastic designs! Unlike the previous cupcake classes we have attended so far, these cupcakes all felt completely different in design. What I mean by that is, often, there are two cupcakes that are featured and unique, as well as two sets of two that are similar as sort of side cupcakes. Sweet Designs by Jennie releases her cupcake classes each month, with tons of new ones to choose from.
Amelia and I had such a good time at our last cupcake class with Sweet Designs by Jennie, that she’s been eagerly waiting for the next one! When Sweet Designs by Jennie released her Autumn Cupcake Class, I booked it up instantly. Amelia and I both very much enjoy baking and cooking together, so getting the chance to decorate six beautiful cupcakes each, as an afternoon on our own, just makes sense for our household!
Amelia has expressed interest in spending more one on one time with me, since becoming a teenager. She has different interests then Kai and Robin, so we’ve been going to things together that entertain both of our hobbies. The latest activity she wanted to try out was the Piped Flowers Class with Sweet Designs by Jennie. Amelia is always in the kitchen with me, but much prefers baking to cooking, so decorating felt like the natural next thing.
September starts off strong, with Dann’s birthday right at the start (and all of his other birthday-related celebrations after it). This month did fly by, with a good mix of adventures, family outtings, and otherwise enjoying the start of the autumn season. We even travelled to another country this month, which is always such a fun time for us. As a part of Project 365, I wrote about each and every day in September, alongside a picture. Some bloggers – who you will find at the end of this post – post their Project 365 daily or weekly, but I post mine monthly as a big recap of the entire busy month.
August was a month of summer holiday, vacations, work trips, and so many visits with friends! We did our normal going out to Pokemon Go often, having people over far too much, and enjoying the sunshine. I do very much love the times that everyone is off school, especially when we have so much planned! At the end of the month, there were a few birthdays sprinkled in, so a lot to celebrate and enjoy. This post is a part of Project 365, where a bunch of bloggers take a photo every single day of the year, sharing a bit about their life. Some post weekly, some post monthly like me, and so post daily. You can check out a bunch of other bloggers who are taking part in this challenge at the end of this blog post.
August 1st – Off to the Beach
Today, we all really wanted to go to the beach! There is a Pokemon event happening that requires the seaside, which is a bonus, so I packed up lunch and we headed out in the afternoon. When we arrived, I set up our large beach blanket, which Dann just got, and it’s fantastic, then set out our food to enjoy. It was a pasta salad lunch, before we started looking for sea glass. Amelia is really interested in finding sea glass, and we got a huge container full today as there was just so many! Once she had her full of the sea glass and Robin was done playing in the sand, we were all ready to head to the arcade. There are lots of arcade at Southend-by-Sea, so we picked one and started exploring. Kai and Dann do a lot of the racing games while Robin, Amelia and I rushed around trying to earn tickets. We ended up with nearly 1500 tickets, so plenty to grab a bunch of prizes, before getting ice cream and heading home. Kai then went to the gym, we had dinner, and then hung out in the evening, playing Lambada with the girls before bed.
