This week’s bunch of recipes is really chicken heavy – and that’s due to a lot of our fish and beef meals being ones I have already featured on our blog! As the weather got warm, we went back to classic comforts, and had a lot of dishes we have previously had. Orange chicken is one we have had before, but I figured it would be fine to keep one repeat in the post. This week, Robin helped a lot with breakfasts and with one of the dinners, but otherwise we were pretty busy and looking for dishes that could be made quite quickly!

Best Halloween School Lunch Ideas for Kids

I love holidays and I love food, so it is only natural that school lunches get a Halloween twist around the month of October. We try to do themed packed lunches year round, but figured it would be fun to share some of the simple ideas we have used to make our packed lunches more spooky for this time of year. 8 Easy Spooky Treats for Halloween

We have been cooking up a storm in our household – from healthy foods like soups to anything with pumpkin puree to sweet treats perfect for a party or packed lunch! I wanted to share some of the best, spooky, delicious treats for you to enjoy with your family. As we love to theme everything, it’s so fun to share these recipes with you, and I hope you do get to try some of them out! Monster Wraps

Making a great and filling lunch, we created some of these monster wraps. The idea is simple – create a wrap of your choice, then cut some hair out of sliced cheese and make some eyes out of olives sliced up (though you could use red pepper to make eyes, if your not a fan of olives). We filled our wrap with red pepper hummus, cucumbers and slices of chicken, and then decorate them once they are rolled up. These impress so much in packed lunches!
