Dinner at La Norma

When walking around the bay, we hadn’t really planned where we wanted to eat and instead just continued walking until something caught our eye. The restaurant we ended up at was La Norma, which has a small menu divided into fun categories called things like “I LOVE FISH” and “I LOVE MEAT”, to give an idea of what you are in the mood for. They have both upstairs outdoor seating, indoor seating, and seating by the sea! After being out in the wind, we opted for indoor seating, but do like the option to sit by the sea if the weather is fantastic.

Dinner at Restaurant Portun

When you go to Croatia, everyone always tries some of their grilled meats. Every menu we went to had some sort of grill menu, so we decided to go out to Restaurant Portun and try out a big plate of meat. This place had a sign that said “Best Grill in the Area” which had us sold. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted for outdoors as we wanted to enjoy the lovely evening weather. At Restaurant Portun we didn’t order a ton of different food, but we did EAT.

Lunch at Silk – Pan-Asian Fusion Food

If Dann and I are traveling, we are often trying the Asian food we find. When walking around Old Town in Dubrovnik, we stumbled upon Silk. It looks like they have a few different locations in different cities, and we were quite excited to have some delicious food. We both sat in their rooftop terrace, as the weather was so nice, but they did have a small indoor area for seating as well.

Exploring the Bay of Abandoned Hotels in Kupari, Croatia

When going to Croatia, one of the things that people kept mentioning was “exploring the abandoned hotels”, so obviously we wanted to have a look for ourselves. There are three really large hotels on the bay, which have all been abandoned after being shot up during the war in 1991. They have been left to rot and rust, some of which have serious fire damage, and many of which have graffiti.
