Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre at the Natural History Museum

[Ad- gifted experience] Both Dann and I absolutely love exploring new places and new features within places we have visited before. It’s been a while since we’ve been to the Natural History Museum so we were delighted to be invited back to see the Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre exhibition. This is a ticketed exhibition within the free museum, allowing you to learn more about birds throughout history and how the future might affect them. As someone who grew up in a place where we didn’t learn about dinosaurs, this was a very interesting exhibition.

Flesh & Buns – Fantastic Japanese Bao Restaurant

[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I are really big fans of Japanese food, especially bao buns. Dann actually has tried his hand at creating homemade baos, which turned out delicious. When we were invited to Flesh & Buns, we were instantly excited to try out the boas they had on offer. Flesh & Buns has a few different locations in London, each with a signature dish. We went to Oxford Circus, but ended up splitting a platter so didn’t try the specific items for that location.

A Day Out at MCM Comic Con London

[Ad- gifted experience] When it comes to days out in London, Dann and I really both enjoy gaming events. As we both work in games, we’ve been to our fair share of gaming showcases, comicons, events and the like. MCM Comic Con London aims to be a family event for all ages, full of geek culture. We were delighted at being invited back once again and took a much slower time exploring the venue. MCM Comic Con London is absolutely massive – expanding across two halls at the Excel, full of different stands, cosplay, interactive bits and so much more.

The Colour of Dinosaurs at the Polka Theatre

[Ad- gifted experience] If you are a regular reader of our blog, you’ll know that we adore the Polka Theatre. This theatre is far more than a place to watch performances; there is a reading area, a building block area, a dress up area, and outdoor area – it’s ideal for taking toddlers! We’ve been going to the Polka Theatre since Robin was a toddler and she still enjoys the magic of going back. This time, we went along to see The Colour of Dinosaurs – a play that’s heavily music themed, including a real palaeontologist that had actually discovered what color dinosaurs are!

Jason and the Adventure of 254 at the Wellcome Collection

I had personally not been to the Wellcome Collection in London, which is a free museum and library that focuses a lot on health! There are a bunch of exhibitions, collections, talks, and different events going on, which all aim at supporting science that solves the urgent health challenges people are facing. I have a friend who’s very much interested in health and healthcare, and visits the Wellcome Collection from time to time. She took me to see the Jason and the Adventure of 254 time limited exhibition!
