As we go towards the summer, it’s time to start thinking about fun staycations and activities to do with your children! It’s a good time to get out and explore more of the world as well, especially while your children are out of school. There are lots of things to do in Liverpool, for all ages, and with so much to do, it might be hard to figure out how to spend your day out, especially with your children in tow.
Imagine That!
If you have children that are interested in science and are looking for engaging and entertaining days out with them, Imagine That! is a fun-packed centre filled with activities and experiments! This area is split into four sections, including an outdoor area, so that there is plenty to do! There is an interactive art space, where kids can get messy or use technology to create art, a science zone fill of experiments and even a giant bubble you can be in, a slime factory for those who like slime, and a roleplay center. You can easily find yourself spending hours here, without getting bored. They also have a bunch of different events on, that change with the season.
Acorn Farm
If you’ve got children who are interested in animals, Acorn Farm has barnyard animals to meerkats, all dotted around a big farm area filled with parks. This makes for a good outdoors activity, especially on a sunny day, where you can see all sorts of animals grazing and enjoying the sunshine. There are lots of opportunities to feed and stroke the animals at Acorn Farm, along with horse back riding if you’re up for it! They also have a very lovely, British cafe, which serves a bunch of home made meals to make this a full day out.
VR-Here
If you’ve got children who are a bit older, you might be looking for something a bit more engaging for them. VR-Here is a virtual reality arcade, where you can go on virtual roller coasters, see movies, or take on shooting games – all within your virtual world. There are tons and tons of different immersive virtual reality games, giving you hours of fun, and several games are multiplayer, allowing you to play alongside your children. It’s a fantastic, immersive experience, especially for tweens and teens.
You can check out our other Days Out to see what else we’ve been up too!
Thanks so much for the inspo. Will definitely check these things out when I’m in Liverpool.
Acorn Farm sounds like the perfect outdoor adventure, especially for animal-loving children, and VR-Here is such a cool suggestion for older kids who crave immersive experiences.
We’ve been to a VR arcade before and had so much fun, we would definitely go again.
